Wesley Paul is a Chinese boy who lives in America. The famous newspaper, the Now York Times, has called him“The fastest boy in the world.”
Wesley was born in 1969. When he was three, his father started running every day in order to lose weight(体重). Wesley went with him. By the age of seven, he was running a mile(英里)in six minutes four seconds and could run a“marathon”(a race of twenty-six miles)in four hours and four minutes. A year later he reduced(缩减)this time by more than an hour.
By the time he was nine, Wesley had taken part in six marathon races and held thirty world records. Do you know how big he was then? He weighted only 32 kilograms. Later he held all the world records for boy aged seven to ten in all races from one mile to twenty-six miles marathons. Experienced coaches (教练) now think Wesley will one day be the first person to run a marathon in less than two hours.
