Dear editor, I'm a student of Guang Ming Middle School. Our school used to be verY beautiful. There used to be green trees and all kinds of flowers in our school all the year round. It used to be a quiet place and it was a good place for study. Things have changed since a chemical works was built near our school a year ago. Every day they produce large quantities of waste water and harmful gases. The terrible pollution has done great harm to us as well as to the trees and flowers. And the great noise from the works has greatly affected our teaching and studying activities. Our school is no longer a quiet and good place for study. We suffer a lot from the pollution.
