经过福大爷的修鞋摊，我想远远地绕过去，还是被福大爷喊住了。福大爷从头到脚打量了我一番，那眼神像是在看马戏团里敲锣的猴子。福大爷说小子，打扮得跟绑匪似的在街上瞎溜达什么。

福大爷这么一说把我吓得一怔。我说福大爷你胡说什么，我没事这不遛大街玩吗。

福大爷说你不是在什么大酒店当保安吗，怎么突然就成了大街上的便衣警察了？我说福大爷你不知道，酒店欠我一年的工资不给我，老子不给他干了。

福大爷摇摇头，说把你的马靴脱下来。我一惊，说福大爷，我可什么也没有做呀。福大爷说，这么好的马靴打上掌可以多穿几年，快脱下我给它们钉上掌。

【题目】Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, “Do you think they'll let me play?”Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son, mentally and physically disabled, were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence.

Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay could play, not expecting much. The boy looked around and said, “We're losing by six runs (分) and the game is in the eighth inning (局).I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the final inning.

Shay struggled over to the team's bench and put on a team shirt with a broad smile and his father had a small tear in his eye and warmth in heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the final inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the field. Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was almost impossible. The first pitch (投) came and Shay missed. 【题目】 Fear may be felt in the heart as well as in the head, according to a study that has found a link between the cycles of a beating heart and the chance of someone feeling fear.

Tests on healthy volunteers found that they were more likely to feel a sense of fear at the moment when their hearts are contracting（收缩）and pumping blood around their bodies, compared with the point when the heartbeat is relaxed. Scientists say the results suggested that the

heart is able to influence how the brain responds to a fearful event, depending on which point it is at in its regular cycle of contraction and relaxation.

Sarah Garfinkel at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School said, “Our study show for the first time that the way in which we deal with fear is different depending on when we see fearful pictures in relation to our heart.

The study tested 20 healthy volunteers on their reactions to fear as they were shown pictures of fearful faces. Dr. Garfinkel said, “The study showed that fearful faces are better noticed when the heart is pumping than when it is relaxed. Thus our hearts can also affect what we see and what we don’t see---and guide whether we see fear.”

To further understand this relationship, the scientists also used a brain scanner（扫描仪）to show how the brain influences the way the heart changes a person’s feeling of fear.

主持人：毕业之后您就和几个朋友一起开了一家心理诊所，那时候真的是想当心理医生了吗？

毕淑敏：一是掌握了这些理论的知识以后，特别想用于实践。再有一个，我那时候已经慢慢感觉到，其实在我们中国现在急速变化的年代里，人们特别需要心理帮助，我感觉到这是一种使命感吧。

毕淑敏：我觉得在文学里其实是有多样人生的，如果我们在阅读过程中，能有同感，能有心灵的激荡，包括可能在某些方面改变我们对世界或者对自我的一些认识，我想这就是文学的功能之一。我写作时其实没有去想文学是否具有治疗的作用，我只是想，那些生活中的人物，他们感动过我，我愿意用文字把他们表达出来，和更多的人分享。

主持人：您不管是做作家还是做心理咨询师，都是在用不同的方式影响着一些人的生命，这是不是您做这些事情时一个心理上很大的成就感？
