Nearby there lived a parentless boy named Tim. He wished he could fly like a bird. It was difficult for him to make his big dream come true.
One day the orphan came to a park. There he saw a little boy in the sand alone. Tim ran over and asked if he ever wanted to fly like a bird.
“No,” he answered, “I’m not able to walk like a normal child. As a crippled child, I wish I could walk and run the same as you do.”
“That is very sad,” said Tim, “but could we be friends?”

“That would be OK,” replied the man with a smile.

Tim turned around and carried his friend on his back. Then he began to run around the sand. He ran faster and faster, with the little boy on. The father became excited with tears in his eyes as his son shouted at the top of his voice, “I’m FLYING! Daddy, I’m FLYING!”

A little boy invited his mother to attend his school's first teacher—parent meeting. To the little boy's disappointment, his mother said she would go. This would be the first time that his classmates and teachers met his mother and he was embarrassed by her appearance. There was a serious scar (伤疤) that covered nearly the whole right side of her face. The boy never wanted to talk about why or how she got the scar.
