题目内容

Sometimes people come into your life and you know at once that they were sure to be there. They teach you a lesson or help find out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be: your classmate,neighbor,teacher,long-lost friend or even a real stranger. But you know that every moment they will affect your life in some serious way.

Sometimes things happen to you. At the time they may seem terrible, painful and unfair. But later you realize that without getting over those difficulties you would never realize your further ability and strength. Everything happens for a reason and nothing happens by chance or with good or bad luck.

The people you meet affect your life, and the success and failure you experience create who you are. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones.

Enjoy every day even every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can,for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before, and really listen. You should set your sights high, hold your head up,tell yourself you are a great one and believe in yourself.

You can make your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it

When the bell rings, every student takes out an iPad. The light from the screens makes their young faces pretty and lively.

That's what happens every day at my school in the US. We use iPads in class.I felt surprised and excited when I got an iPad the first day I arrived at the school. But it was not free. I paid about $ 100 (about 620 yuan) to rent it for three years.

Every iPad at my school has a special learning system called Focus. Teachers put their teaching materials like textbooks and PPTs on it. When we have classes,we enter the system and download the materials with our iPads.

It makes the classes interesting and efficient. For example, several weeks ago,we learned about former South African president Nelson Mandela. Our teacher prepared a video in which Mandela made an encouraging speech. We could not only watch the video, but also check the transcript (文字稿) at the same time. Because of the video,I know more about the great man.

We also do our homework with iPads. If the homework is made up of multiple choices,we can know our grade right after we submit our homework. If it's essays, teachers grade them online, without needing to look through so many papers.

However, there are still some bad points about learning with iPads. Some of my classmates play games or log on social networking websites in class.

I believe the key to use iPads well is to have good self-control. Isn’t it?

I bought a jasmine plant for my office. When I bought it'someone told me it would bloom (开花) and the sweet smell would fill my office. I had the plant for two months, and every day I looked at it,but there weren’t any flowers or pleasant smell. I was not happy,so I gave the plant to my friend Linda.

One day, another friend Mary called and invited me to her office. When I walked in,her jasmine flowers surprised me. I reached out to touch the flowers. Mary cut some and gave them to me. I couldn’t help smelling them. Surrounded by the sweet smell of only a handful of these flowers,I suddenly understood something.

Mary bought her plant the same time I did. It took a year for her jasmine to bloom. I was so impatient for mine to bloom;unhappily,I gave it away.

In a way my life is like the jasmine plant. I need to be patient and let things happen.

Last Sunday Linda told me that she was going abroad the next week. Before she left, she returned the plant to me. This time I am going to wait. Now I know that when we want something in our life,we have to be patient. I am slowly learning to have that patience to wait for my jasmine to bloom.
