Subject: School! Date:01/09 9:04 PM

Hi, Li Ming,

Today was the first day of school. I am in Grade Seven this year. I have a new school. It’s big! There are 360 students. Every grade has four classes. There are 20 students in my class.

School is different this year.

This year, school begins at 8:30. Last year, school began at 8:45.

Last year, I had one teacher. This year, I have many teachers. Every teacher has a different classroom. We go from room to room for our classes. It’s good exercise!

On Wednesday, my cousin Brian arrives from the UK. He will live with my family this year. Brian is twelve years old, just like me!

Your friend,

Jenny

Subject: I like e-mail! Date: 02/09 6:10 PM

Hi, Jenny,

I was happy to see your e-mail. It’s fun to get e-mail from Canada! My school is big, too. It’s bigger than yours. There are about 550 students in my school, and three classes for every grade. My class has sixty pupils. We don’t have to go to different classes, but we have many different teachers. We have our classes in one room, and the teachers come to us. At my school, the teachers get the exercise!
