I had my first contact with English when I was six. My dad loved listening to the Beatles（披头士）and he encouraged me to listen to the band. I listened to them every day for the following seven years. When I met every new English word, I felt it was close to my goal, it could improve my reading ability. Finally I could read my first whole book in English. That moment was exciting. I knew I got into a new world. When I read in English, I had not only the pleasure of reading, but also the pleasure of using English and learning English. For the last four years I have read books only in English.

Now I study science. I discover that my knowledge of English is very important for my learning science. Without English I would be limited to the few books which are in Indian, and there are really few.
