On a Saturday morning, I went camping in Green Natural Park with some friends. We were happy because it was a sunny day. All the way there, we sang songs and made jokes. 36, in the afternoon, when we finished our picnic at one o’clock, it was dark and windy. Soon, it started to rain. Unluckily, none of us brought a(n) . We ran about but couldn’t find any places to .

Twenty minutes passed and it was still raining. There was a long way to go we reached the campsite (野营地). It was worse because our compass (指南针) showed that we went the wrong way.

We had to make a quick decision because it was raining heavily. Chris said we could a tent (帐篷) to hide in, so Mary and Tom to set up the tent. Chris and I tried to make a fire to keep us warm. But we were not able to light the fire, because everything was . We dried ourselves, talked and waited inside the tent. At about five o’clock, it stopped raining. We to stop the camping trip because all of us were very tired.

This camping trip might not be very but we got to know each other better. And the most important thing I’ve learned from this trip is the importance of team spirit.

A person with a green thumb seems to have a magic touch that makes plants grow quickly and well.You might say that the woman next door has a green thumb if her garden continues to grow long after your plants have died.
The Green Revolution (革命) is the name which was given some years ago to the development of new kinds of rice and other grains.The new plants produced much larger crops.The Green Revolution was the result of hard work by agricultural (农业的) scientists who had green thumbs.

3.School systems(制度)are different from country to country.
Unlike us,students in Singapore.where I am studying, have a flexible (灵活) timetable. My friend Amanda is a science student. She chose Chinese literature and language, chemistry and economics. She also has to attend general paper (理解与写作课),project work, math and PE lesson. On Friday,Amanda only has one PE,one general paper and one economics lesson. On Thursday, however, she has six lessons."Gloomy (郁闷的) Thursday"she said humorously.
Lunchtimes are not fixed either. On Tuesday,Amanda has lunch at 10:30 am because she has a PE class at noon.On Thursday since the first four lessons take up the whole morning and the noon, she has lunch at 1:00 pm.The different lunchtimes solve the problem of long queues (排队) in the student canteen.
In Singapore students have different lessons in different classrooms while in China we have the same classroom for nearly every lesson.Walking in the school, you always see students rushing toward the next classroom, with their schoolbags on their shoulders.Sometimes the ten-minute-break seems to be too short.I remember on the first day that no sooner had Amanda and I arrived in the classroom than the bell rang.No time to go to the washroom or for snacks.
And another discovery surprised me.Students are allowed in use calculators (计算器)in math exams! The students in Singapore calculate everything using calculators. They even use a calculator to find out the sum (总和) of 200 and 300!
The two school systems have their advantages and disadvantages.I hope the schools in different countries can learn from each other and the world's education make progress.
