The fourth national open day for the farming industry (农业) 一called Open Farm Sunday—took place in Britain. About 425 farms opened their gates to the pubic and invited people to join them in exploring (探索) the links (联系) between the food and nature. Open Farm Sunday is a great chance (机会) for everyone,young and old’ to enjoy the countryside.

Visitors can listen to the birds sing,watch the cows and sheep eat grass,grow vegetables,plant trees,feed ducks and chickens. They can enjoy the clean air,smell the farmlands also taste farm food. They may help do some farm work. They can also find out first-hand what it means to be a farmer.

   One farmer said, "It is great to stay home and welcome some children onto our farm and show them where their food comes from."
