Blogging has become something of a big thing in the last few years. Just like the Internet was 10 years ago, blogging is popular with an underground culture, that is doing it for love and passion(激情).

Blogging is a way of collecting links(链接) to webpages and sharing thoughts and ideas with people online. Blogs are basically online diaries which are created for sharing information and ideas.

Dominic, a fifth-grade student, writes: “The blogs give us a chance to communicate between ourselves and encourage us to write more. When we publish on our blog, people across the whole world can reply by using the ‘comments’ link. In this way, they can ask questions or simply tell us what they like. We can then know if people like what we write and this will tell us where we can improve. By reading these comments, we can discover our weaknesses and our strengths. Blogging is a chance to exchange our opinions with the rest of the world rather than just people in our immediate environment.”

Blogging is sweeping the Internet. A recent report states that at least three million Americans have created blogs, with similar numbers being seen worldwide.

Two years ago, Andrew Sullivan decided to set up a Web page himself and used “Blogger. com” to publish some daily thoughts to a few hundred readers. He worked hard at the blog for months for no reward. But the result is that he is now reaching almost a quarter of a million readers a month and making a lot of money.

This, at least, is the idea: a publishing revolution(革命) is coming. “Blogger.com” could be to words what Napster was to music—except this time, it'll really work.

Years ago, while I lived in England, part of my college task was to help the children with special needs. I was chosen to in a school with disabled children. The teacher asked me to Nancy, a ten-year-old girl. One of hands could not move. At her school the teachers would think it was an achievement(成就,成绩) she was able to put on her own coat. But I saw more in her. She had always wanted to put a string the hole of a key.

For the 5 years Nancy was in the school, the teachers always to help her, but always ended up doing all the work for her. I knew Nancy could do , so I encouraged her to do something herself. At first Nancy often failed and got very . Sometimes I wanted to give up too. , after a week Nancy was able to do she had wanted to alone for so many years. Her teachers cried when they saw the thing she was able to do with just some encouragement.

Disabled people should be told they can’t do this or that. With just some encouragement they can do it. The look that girl’s face when she was able to do it herself meant to me. I hope everyone will encourage people to do all they want by themselves telling them they can’t do it.
