Hi, I’m John Donald, on the Voice of America.
We are checking out the top three songs in the Billboard chart（美国单曲排行榜）ending this week.
The third place goes to One Republic with “Counting Stars”. This song has already hit number one in the United Kingdom. But how high has One Republic risen in its US homeland? Well, they haven’t had a US number one single yet. Back in 2007, their first single “Apologize” reached the second place, while hitting number one in more than a dozen countries.
The second place comes Lorde with another former（以前的）title-holder（冠军保持者）, “Royals”.
Up at number one is a famous partner Eminem and Rihanna with “The Monster”. How many times have they worked together? If you said twice, you’re wrong. This is their fourth. You probably remember their huge 2010 hit “Love The Way You Lie” and they also sang together “Love The Way You Lie (Part II)”. Finally, the pair worked together on “Numb”, which appears on Rihanna’s latest album（唱片）Unapologetic.
