BBC News on TV, radio and online often brings you stories from across the world. Today we can hear “Life in China”. Have you got a story about life in China today? If you do, please put your stories here.

Wu Peng, Anhui

I am a 14-year-old boy from a poor village in Anhui Province. Like many other left-behind children in China, I live with my grandparents now. My parents went to work in Shanghai several years ago. They call me twice a month to ask about my study. I really miss my parents and I hope I can go to school in Shanghai. I think every child needs parents’ love and care.
Cindy, Shenzhen

I like traveling and I have traveled a lot around China. During the trip, I often find that a number of Chinese often break the rules in public. For example, when I traveled in Hong Kong this year, I saw a kid eating noodles on the underground, which was against the rules. However, the kid’s mother didn’t think she did wrong. Can you believe it? Let’s improve our public manners.
Mike, Shanghai

These days, we’re asked to “clear our plates” when having our meals and say no to wasting. Some of us used to order more than what we could eat. That was a big waste of food. Now we need to finish the food we order. We should also stop wasting in some other ways. For example, we should turn off the lights when we leave the classroom.
【小题1】How does Wu Peng contact his parents according to the passage?

When I was a child, my parents often took me to an old house in a thick forest. No other children ever stayed there. I didn’t even have the choice of playing with a brother or sister.
I could never understand what the attraction(吸引) of the house was, even for my parents, who enjoyed nothing better than to sit in silence with a good book. The woman in the house, my father’s distant cousin, was a terrible cook and her food was inedible.
One day, when I was wandering around the garden behind the house, I noticed a wooden house which had clearly been abandoned(被遗弃的). As I walked towards it, I heard a noise, like an animal moving hurriedly away. Then I saw a man with a long beard standing at the door. I was greatly surprised.
“Please don’t tell them you saw me,” he said. “They never use this place, and I have nowhere else to live.” “Don’t worry,” I said. “I won’t tell anyone. But are you all right out here? I mean—do you have enough to eat?” The old man shook his head.
The same evening, I took a small plastic bag into the dining room and, while no one was looking, emptied some of the food into it. Later, I got out of the back door secretly and gave the food to the old man, whose name I had discovered was Taff.
I had never seen anything else as lovely as the smile of satisfaction on Taff’s face when he ate the food. From then on, my visits to the old house had a purpose, and I enjoyed every minute of the rest of my stay.

One of the best things we can do in our lives is this:

Begin again

Begin to see yourself as you were

When you were the happiest and strongest

You’d ever been

Begin to remember what worked for you

(and what worked against you)

And try to make things work again

Remember how natural it was when you were a child——

To live a lifetime each day

Begin to forget about the troubles you have carried with you for years:

The problems that don’t matter any more

The tears that cried themselves away

And the worries that we are going to wash away

On the shore of tomorrow’s new beginnings

Tomorrow tells us it will be here every new day of our lives

And if we are wise

We will turn away from the problem of the past

And give the future——and ourselves——a chance

(This poem is just for our lovely and great-hearted students

who are busy preparing for the entrance exams for high schools.)

(    )2.According to the poem, what should we remember?

A.The sadness          B.The ugly              C.The truth                      D.The beauty
