In August 2000, I walked on the campus of Illinois State University (ISU) as a simple, quiet girl from a small rural town. There were more freshmen here than the population of my 16 hometown. Standing by myself, I was all of a sudden 17 by strangers from various backgrounds. I was 18 with this place and, for the first time in my life, I felt 19 .

Over time, I realized that everyone around 20 the same. The strangers soon became friends, and the campus turned into one where I found 21. Before I knew it, ISU became my “22” away from home.

Throughout the four years, I learned a lot I had not learnt from my 23. I realized that you can not 24 late Thursday night and still pass your Friday exam; eating pizza three times a day will save the 25 15 pounds. I also figured out who I was as a person and found the best 26 family in the friends.

The bitter-sweet day came when I had to 27 the college chapter of my life. I thought I would 28, but I didn’t. I knew I would have my college years, my friends and 29, with me forever. I even had a sense of 30 that my four years of difficult life finally paid off.

However, 31 hit the day after graduation. For three months I was 32, not to mention I had loans(贷款)to repay and no 33.

This January, I received an offer from a school three miles away from home. I will move on, with 34 I had on the first day of college, to the place I again will call home. But I believe I will 35 it!
