A Trip to the Mountains
Last Sunday, we took a trip to the mountains. We had a good time there.
We started early in the morning. It took us almost three hours to get there. When we got to the top of the mountain, we saw many beautiful flowers and various trees. We had our lunch there. After lunch we took many pictures, which will remind us of the wonderful trip. We didn’t go down until late in the afternoon.
On the way home we felt quite happy, though we were very tired.

M: Why
did your parents make you stay at home, Kate? W: They wanted to go out, and so they made me look after my baby brother. M: Didn’t you mind doing it? W: No, I didn’t. My brother was very good and I did quite a lot of homework. M: Didn’t you even want to go to the cinema? W: Not really. I watched television for an hour. M: What was on it last night? W: Boxing. It was excellent. M: Oh. I enjoy watching boxing on television, too. What a pity! I missed it last night! W: Oh. Tom! What did you do last night? M: I went to a basketball match at the gym. |

W: I’ve
heard that you have moved into a new house, Bill. M: That’s right. We moved in a few days before Christmas. W: Why did you choose that place? It’s far from your children’s school. M: We had to move. You know, our neighbour was too noisy. He often asked some friends to his house and had parties at home, singing and dancing until midnight. We couldn’t sleep at all. W: That’s really too bad. How’s your new house? M: It’s good. We live next to a playground and a shop. It’s quiet in the evening. W: What kind of shop is it? M: A bookshop. W: Oh! It’s convenient for you to buy books. M: Yes. Please come to my new house when you’re free. I’ll prepare something delicious for you. W: Thank you. I will. |
