A couple of years ago, I went to a lady¡¯s house to buy some vitamins. Upon entering the house, I ¡¡ 31¡¡ that there was an electronic keyboard on a stand, leaning¡¡ 32¡¡ the wall. Being a piano music lover and ¡¡ 33 , I asked, if the woman played. She nodded and added that she had been ¡¡34¡¡ lessons¡ªat age 54! I told her that it was very¡¡ 35¡¡ that she was pursuing £¨×·Çó£© her passion£¨ÈÈÇ飩 to play the piano.

¡¡ Then she asked me¡¡ 36¡¡ question.

¡¡ ¡°I have been playing for 8 years now, ¡± I answered.

¡¡ ¡°Then you must play a song for me before you leave, ¡± she¡¡ 37 . I thought she was joking and I simply smiled. At the end of the deal of the vitamins, she¡¡ 38¡¡ me of our musical ¡° 39¡¡ ¡±. She then showed me to an old upright piano in the living room, 40 asked me to play a song for her. ¡¡ I played the song to the best of my ability, and with my emotions¡¡ 43¡¡ into it as possible. She loved it. ¡¡ 44¡¡ I was about to step out of the door, I heard a weak voice calling out, ¡°Young man! ¡±

¡¡ I turned around. And there was an old lady¡¡ 45¡¡ one little step at a time with the help of another woman. ¡°I wanted to come out to¡¡ 46¡¡ you for the beautiful song that you played. I have been very sick, and it¡¯s very hard for me to¡¡ 47¡¡ my bed, but your music made me feel good, ¡±she said. With that, she turned around and walked¡¡ 48¡¡ back to her room.

¡¡ I was deeply¡¡ 49¡¡ by her appreciation and felt a deeper understanding for the song. It served its purpose beautifully, returning to one¡¯s¡¡ 50¡¡ for peace and joy.

About 20 years ago, I was lucky to teach a disabled young woman named Audrey. Not only was she good at math and science, but she was also very¡¡ 21¡¡ in art. She could draw and paint beautifully. When Audrey graduated from university, she got two¡¡ 22¡¡ , one in fine arts and one in chemistry. Not too many people do well in two such¡¡ 23¡¡ areas of study.

Just before her high school graduation, Audrey¡¡ 24¡¡ me a wonderful gift. It was a watercolour painting of a mother and her baby. A tear¡¡ 25¡¡ from the mother¡¯s eye as she looked¡¡ 26¡¡ at her child. Under the painting, Audrey had¡¡ 27¡¡ these words: ¡°The deep love from Mother, ¡¡ 28¡¡ me, touches another.¡± What a beautiful gift! I had the piece of art framed and¡¡ 29¡¡ in my office.

Years passed with many¡¡ 30¡¡ from one office to another and I¡¡ 31¡¡ the painting. Last year, after about eight years of not knowing where it was, I¡¡ 32¡¡ a phone call from a former colleague who said she had 33¡¡ of mine. It was the picture Audrey had painted for me 18 years earlier. When cleaning out a storage room, she had¡¡ 34¡¡ my gift.

I was struck that the¡¡ 35¡¡ gift came back. I knew Audrey very well. When she was four years old, Audrey had a serious¡¡ 36¡¡ . What¡¯s worse, her father left the house. It was her mother who brought her up with much trouble. She¡¡ 37¡¡ it but was disabled.

To¡¡ 38¡¡ , it is just a painting, but to me it shows how a mother¡¯s love has helped¡¡ 39¡¡ a talent and how its¡¡ 40¡¡ pushes me ahead.

A little boy invited his mother to attend his school¡¯s first teacher-parent parent meeting. To the little boy¡¯s ¡¡ 1 , she said she would go. Although she was a beautiful woman, there was a severe scar(°ÌºÛ)that 5 nearly the entire right side of her face. The boy never wanted to 6 why or how she got the scar.
