She watched her little girl at play through her window. Memories flooded back to her  36  .

It was silent in Mom’s hospital room. Only the sound of her heart monitor interrupted the     moments of what seemed to be a peaceful sleep. It had been several hours since her operation. December 24 arrived along with a heavy snow. It was my first Christmas Eve without my mother, and the day’s usual  36  had disappeared.
