Dear editor,
I’m a college student and I’ll graduating in half a year. I’m very worried about my future, because find a good job is so much difficult. At the moment, my parents want me to be a teacher, and I don’t like that idea. During my holiday break, I work part-time as a tour guide in my hometown. I liked job very much. But my parents didn’t agree with me. They thought the work was difficulty, even though one could make a lot of money. That is the most important to me is that being a tour guide won’t take me far from home. I always consider what my parents say, but it’s hard for me to take a decision . Could you give me some advices?

This is a story told by my father : When I was boy , the most exciting thing was when to

celebrate the Spring Festival . My grandma was the best cooker in the world but could make the most delicious dishes . Once , I just couldn’t wait for the Spring Festival dinner . As I was about take a piece from a cooked duck , I saw Grandma in the kitchen looking me . Shake her head , she said , “It isn’t a good time to do that , dear .” I apologize and controlled me at the best till the dinner started . I am a senior 3 student. Recently I have made a survey among 100 boys and 100 girls. The result of the survey is as the follows: That the boys like to do most is to become businessmen while the girls favorite work is to be teachers. Only few boys want to do this job. It is interested that the number of boys and girls who want to be doctors are equal. As for lawyers, more boys expect to have this job. Therefore, there are still students are not clear about their future. In a word, they all express they would work hard at their lessons for the College Entrance Examination. As long as they do this badly, they will realize their great dreams.

Dear John,
This summer I will go to study at the London University,but I don’t know how to adapt myself for the new life.
I hear that many freshmen are at loss what to do when they are in a foreign country .Feel lonely and homesick ,they find it much harder to get use to the new culture ,diet and climate.
Most of them can’t take well care of themselves in their everyday life .
However it is difficult to find a satisfied host. It ’,s  more difficult to fully understand what the teachers teach in class though they speak English all the time.
Could you tell me how to deal with these problems so that I will be able to suit the university life in the future?

It is over 3 year now since I began study English. At first I found it very difficult. I couldn’t get most of the sounds right, spell the words correctly and remember the rules of the grammar. Under the help of my English teacher and classmates, I have made many progress. Now I am getting well with my English study. Three years’ study have taught me that one can’t learn English well without working hard. We should do more listening and speaking both in and out of the class. At the same time, we must pay enough attention to read as well as writing. Only on this way can we get the best result in the shortest time.
