【题目】 Social media promotion (促销) has become so important nowadays that businesses are offering freebies to anyone with a certain following on popular social networks. Case in point, this Milan-based restaurant that offers free sushi to people with a bit of influence on Instagram.

Matteo and Tomaso Pittarello, the owners of the “This Is Not a Sushibar” restaurant in Milan, are well aware of the potential (潜力) of social networks like Instagram, and they’re more than willing to give away some sushi, if it means getting some exposure (曝光). At their restaurant, people have the classic payment choices-cash or card-plus a novel one, paying in Instagram followers. The idea is pretty simple: the more followers you have, the more you can eat without having to spend a cent.

It makes sense that Instagram stars with hundreds of thousands or even millions of followers get the most free food, but even a few 1,000 followers on the photo-sharing platform will get you a free bit to it Customers who have between 1,000 and 5,000 followers will get a free sushi plate. 5,000 to 10,000 followers get you two free plates, 10,000 to 50,000, four free dishes, 50,000 to 100,000 followers, eight dishes, and people with 100,000 Instagram followers get a free full lunch or dinner.

Just having a lot of followers isn’t enough, customers also have to publish a post on their Instagram account and tag @thisisnotasishibar and include the hashtag #thisisnotasushibar. will only receive their free sushi after showing the publish post at the counter.

“Today, advertising (广告) on social networks and, in particular, Instagram, is what works best,” the Pittarello brothers said, adding that the aim of their Instagram payment method is twofold--by involving Instagrammers both big and small, the business will get bigger exposure, and it will also make customers feel engaged in the project.

“This Is Not a Sushibar” introduced the payment alternative (选择), but we’ll have to wait and see how long it will exist for. . Without a set limit of daily Instagram payments, I think the restaurant may start recording losses pretty soon. After all, 1,000 followers on Instagram are not that hard to get, and people will rarely say no to a free lunch.

At their restaurant, people have the classic payment choices-cash or card-plus a novel one, paying in Instagram followers

根据文章倒数第二段中by involving Instagrammers both big and small, the business will get bigger exposure, and it will also make customers feel engaged in the project通过让各种Instagrammers都参与进来(无论其粉丝数量多少),这项业务将获得更大的曝光率,同时也会让客户感到参与到项目中来。

It makes sense that Instagram stars with hundreds of thousands or even millions of followers get the most free food( 很清楚拥有数十万甚至数百万粉丝的Instagram明星可以获得最多的免费食物)结合第四段的“Just having a lot of followers isn’t enough, 仅仅拥有大量的粉丝是不够的),故There is one catch though(不过,有一个问题是)放在②处,承上启下,符合题意。故选B。

4推理判断题。根据文章最后一段中Without a set limit of daily Instagram payments, I think the restaurant may start recording losses pretty soon. After all, 1,000 followers on Instagram are not that hard to get, and people will rarely say no to a free lunch. 故选A

Without a set limit of daily Instagram payments, I think the restaurant may start recording losses pretty soon. After all, 1,000 followers on Instagram are not that hard to get, and people will rarely say no to a free lunch. 故选A

If that’s too hot buckets of cold water are also available to mix into the bathtub (浴缸) or to cool off with after your bath.

The Bagby Springs are about 45 minutes from Estacada, Oregon, on Highway 224. To get to the bathhouse there is a 1.5-mile walk from the parking lot through the beautiful Mt. Hood National Forest. While in the area, make sure to visit Portland, which is known for its coffee, restaurants, and music.

Our news is constantly filled with the reality of death and dying. And each of us, if we live long enough, experiences the loss of persons we loved. Children ages eight through ten were asked what they thought about death, and these are some of their answers:

“When you die,God takes care of you like your mother did. When you were alive, only God doesn’t yell at you all the time.’’(Beth,9)

“When you die, they bury you in the ground and your soul goes to heaven, but your body can’t go to heaven because it’s too crowded there already.” (Jimmy, 8)

I've observed that the loss of a loved one can be one of the most difficult things we humans can face. I’ve known friends of sick and dying people to sit by a bedside or in a hospital room for hours, even days, at a time. I've seen food in homes of people who are dying overflow from kitchen to dining room—food brought by comforting friends from church and con cerned neighbours. And I've observed friends just listen for as long as it takes.

When U.S. Congressman Sam Rayburn (1882—1961) discovered that he was ill,he announced to the House of Representatives he was going home to Texas for medical tests. No one wants to go through difficult times alone. So Rayburn traded the best of medical technology for the closeness of loving friends. He knew that good friends are good medicine. Often the best.

There are some differences between American English and British English. Some differences are quite interesting.

When my friend Lily from London used the word "larder", I didn't know what it meant. Realizing I didn't follow her, she used another word. I finally knew she wanted to find something to keep some food.

The next word came up when we were planning a lunch date. She jotted down the date and time in her diary, while I marked my calendar. If she called me on the phone, she would ring me up. But if the line was busy, she would say the line was engaged.

Most times, I can know what Lily means. Last week, she regretted sending her boys to watch an early morning tennis game without their fleeces. I thought that she meant without their jackets or something like those. Other times, we have to ask each other. She recently told me a funny tale about a woman who was pissed. I wondered what had made the lady angry. It turns out that pissed means drunk.

Here is one more example. My British friend Jane was filling out a ticket at the grocery store(食品杂货店)recently. She asked the young man if he had a rubber. When she noticed he didn't follow her, she quickly asked for an eraser, which, in England, is often called a rubber.

In order to communicate well with the British, we Americans should learn some words that the British use differently. And I think people who learn English as a second language should also realize that there are differences between American English and British English.

1When Lily used the word "larder", she was probably looking for a ________.

A. cupB. ladder

C. cupboardD. cooker

2What does the underlined phrase "jotted down" in Paragraph 2 mean?

A. Wrote down.B. Left behind.

C. Looked for.D. Settled down.

3According to the passage, Lily regretted sending her boys to watch a tennis game mainly because ________. .

A. the game was boring

B. she wanted to spend time with her boys

C. she didn't dress her boys in thick clothes

D. her boys got lost

4What is the passage mainly about

A. The British way of using words.

B. Some new words the writer's British friends taught her.

C. The reasons why Americans can't follow the British at times.

D. Some words used differently in British English and American English.
