【答案】As for me, I decide to choose “reach out your hands, donate a penny, support children’s reading dream” as the theme of this charity sale. Although our national economy has been greatly improved, children in poor and remote areas still lack books. Through this activity we can not only help the children who like reading but short of extensive resources, but also remind the students like us to cherish the learning opportunities.

As planned, the charity sale will be held next Friday from 1:00pm to 2:30pm on our playground, when most of the students and teachers are free, so they may come to have a look. Each of us is supposed to bring at least 5 items, which are suitable for and appeal to senior students. Besides, each of the items must be attached to reasonable price. This week, we should prepare some posters, by which we can attract the attention of teachers and students. Additionally, in order not to mess up the activity, we should choose some salesmen, cashiers, accountants, and market regulators. During the sale, everyone should play his/her part to ensure safety, and make sure we can sell as many items as possible. After the charity, the cashier will calculate the total income and present it to the headteacher.

I think we can raise some money for the school, and meanwhile we can have a meaningful time as well.

【题目】 The United States Capitol Dome in Washington, D.C., is recognized around the world as a symbol of the U.S. government. Since last November, the dome has been surrounded by metal poles, or scaffolding(脚手架), and heavy cloth as part of a repair project.

Joyce said, “It was dramatic, and very fantastic, and all white, but when I come here today, it is under construction so my family cannot see it clearly. It is kind of a disappointment.”

Others were more understanding of the repairs. Rick Jones, another visitor, said, “It’s a little inconvenient for us not to see the dome but you have to think about the future and the people will be coming to this place for centuries...and you know, there just needs to be preventive maintenance(保养). The project is expected to take more than two years to complete. The dome should be ready for the inauguration of a new president in January 2017.
