题目内容

5.I once had my Chinese MBA students brainstorming on"two-hour business plans".I separated them into six groups and gave them an example:a restaurant chain. The more original their idea, the better,I said. Finally, five of the six groups presented plans for restaurant chains. The sixth proposed a catering(餐饮) service.Though I admitted the time limit had been difficult,I expressed my disappointment.
My students were middle managers, financial analysts and financiers from state-owned enterprises and global companies. They were not without talent or opinions, but they had been shaped by an educational system that rarely stressed or rewarded critical thinking or inventiveness. The scene I just described came in different forms during my two years'teaching at the school.Papers were often copied from the Web and the Harvard Business Review.Case study debates were written up and just memorized.Students frequently said that copying is a superior business strategy, better than inventing and creating.
In China, every product you can imagine has been made and sold. But so few well-developed marketing and management minds have been raised that it will be a long time before most people in the world can name a Chinese brand.
With this problem in mind, partnerships with institutions like Yale and MIT have been established. And then there's the"thousand-talent scheme":this new government program is intended to improve technological modernization by attracting top foreign-trained scientists to the mainland with big money. But there are worries about China's research environment. It's hardly known for producing independent thinking and openness, and even big salary offers may not be attractive enough to overcome this.
At last, for China, becoming a major world creator is not just about setting up partnerships with top Western universities.Nor is it about gathering a group of well-educated people and telling them to think creatively. It's about establishing a rich learning environment for young minds. It's not that simple.

(61)F
Everyone wants to be around nice people,including you.If you're not nice,how would anyone be comfortable around you?Being nice is about being polite,patient and understanding.Just tap on the goodness in your heart and express it through your actions.

It's difficult to be loved if you're as shy as a turtle.If this is the case then all you have to do is to be who you are.Be the kind of person that your family and friends love about you.Find out what you do best,what you're good at,what is beautiful about you and use it to your advantage.If you have weaknesses then turn them into strengths.Your goal is to be yourself.
(63)C
You don't have to be a stand-up actor to show your funny side.Everyone has their own flavor of humor and way of making other people laugh.But be careful not to overdo it or others will notice that you're just trying too hard.

(65)A
The most important part of being loved is to be loved for who you really are.Stand out and be brave.Be thankful for your gifts and show people that you have a different flavor to add to the mix.People will respect and love you for that.
15.Why do Americans struggle with watching their weight,while the French,who consume(消费) rich food,continue to stay thin?Now a research by Cornell University suggests how life style and decisions about eating may affect weight.Researchers concluded that the French tend to stop eating when they feel full.However,Americans tend to stop when their plate is empty or their favorite TV show is over.
According to Dr.Joseph Mercola,a health expert,the French see eating as an important part of their life style.They enjoy food and therefore spend a fairly long time at the table,while Americans see eating as something to be squeezed between the other daily activities.Mercola believes Americans lose the ability to sense when they are actually full.So they keep eating long after the French would have stopped.In addition,he points out that Americans drive to huge supermarkets to buy canned and frozen foods for the week.The French,instead,tend to shop daily,walking to small shops and farmers'markets where they have a choice of fresh fruits,vegetables,and eggs as well as high-quality meats for each meal.
After a visit to the United States,Mireille Guiliano,author of French Women Don't Get Fat,decided to write about the importance of knowing when to stop rather than suggesting how to avoid food.Today she continues to stay slim and rarely goes to the gym.
In spite of all these differences,evidence shows that recent life style changes may be affecting French eating habits.Today the rate of obesity-or  extreme overweight-among adults is only 6%.However,as American fast food gains acceptance and the young reject older traditions,the obesity rate among French children has reached 17%-and is growing.
29.In what way are the French different from Americans according to Dr.Joseph Mercola?C
