Cloud tourism “refers to a new, non-contact immersive(沉浸式的)sight-seeing experience that depends on advanced technology, like live streaming.5G technology and virtual reality.

It has enjoyed great popularity in China recently. A 65-year old man said: “I visited Dunhuang on WeChat on May 1.” “I had never experienced a travel without getting out there like that. 【答案】Cloud tourism, a new kind of tour realized by advanced tech, enables people to travel without going out. It is now gaining currency nationwide, yet receiving a mixed reception.

(反对)I am against it. First, it costs us the real joy we would otherwise get from real-life travelling, of which the value lies not in the places we will reach, but the wonders and diversities nature and our life can offer on the way. Pictures shared or stored on the cloud can never match the picturesque memories imprinted under the cloud. Second, be it personal or rational, it will no doubt cloud the travel where family and friends are supposed to gather together. Buried in your desired places online, you happen to find your beloved ones on cloud nine doing the same thing as yours. No more sweet blames about irrational choices of routes or collective decisions. No more.

Overall, once cloud tourism is embraced, sweet memories will fade.

(支持)I am for it. First, the convenience it offers is of benefit to old and young alike, as we can have access to places desired without the limit of time, space, energy and money. The once impossible adventures can happen everywhere, curiosity of historical and cultural relics can be easily satisfied, and happiness can be instilled whenever we want. Second, with it, we will never have to worry about the lack of knowledge and taste that shuts us from appreciating history, culture and nature. Now, well-trained professionals, well-informed guides, and well-prepared v-loggers will be there all the time, holding your hands through the cloud in the sky, serving you with wonders, wits and tales you desire.

Overall, cloud tourism will work wonders, making us free on the move on cloud nine.

【题目】 Claire Lomas, who broke her back in horse-riding accident, has raised over 575,000 for charity through a number of events, and became the first person to complete a marathon in her ReWalk Suit—a robotic exoskeleton that enables her to walk.

In her latest challenge, Lomas continued throughout the day and night without sleep to walk the race in Portsmouth with the aid of the suit and pair of crutches.

She was met with cheers and applause as she crossed the line, having posted regular updates on Twitter as she battled wind and rain.

Lomas said the fact that this was her first long-distance race without stopping meant “it was a little bit unknown” whether she could finish, and added that she was “really grateful to everyone that supported me... I had a few tears.”

At the halfway stage, Lomas remained in high spirits and posted video of herself singing Bon Jovi’s Livin’ on a Prayer. And she showed the exhausting effects of the race with a mile to go when she tweeted: “Help me get to the last mile as I’m so tired.”

Her effort has so far raised more than 4,000 for the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation. After collecting her award, she said, “My accident was 10 years ago in May. When I think back to that first year or two I would have loved for someone to tell me what the future had in store—back then, everything felt so bleak with so many dark days. 【题目】 Stephen Hawking was both one of the world's most famous scientists and most famous disabled people. His life was a juxtaposition of sparkling intellect and failing body. Prof Hawking was diagnosed with a rare form of motor neurone(运动神经元) diseases when he was 21.

The nerves that controlled his muscles were failing and he became trapped in his body, but his mind was still free. He reached the height of his field while being a wheelchair user.

Professor Hawking certainly raised awareness of motor neurone diseases. One of his major contributions to disability in general was simply being visible---often at a time when disabled voices were missing from popular culture. He made small-screen appearances on The Simpsons, Star Trek and The Big Bang Theory. His life was dramatised (改成剧本)by the BBC and in the film The Theory of Everything.

Steve Bell, from the MND association, said: "He was probably the most famous person with a physical disability and it almost normalises it to see his absolute genius. I think it affected a lot of people, seeing he's more than a trapped body. The public's view of disability has changed.

But Prof Hawking’s life was exceptional. He lived five decades longer than doctors expected. Many others with motor neurone diseases die in the years after diagnosis. He was a theoretical physicist. His laboratory was in the mind; his scientific equipment was mathematics.

Prof Hawking was able to continue to pursue his career in a way that would have been much harder in other scientific disciplines and impossible in many other professions. It remains an open question how much he would have achieved if he was disabled from birth rather than after graduating with a first at Oxford. Today, disabled people are more than twice as likely to be unemployed than people without disability. Prof Hawking 's only advice on disability was to focus on what could be achieved. "My advice to other disabled people would be, concentrate on things your disability doesn’t prevent you doing well, and don 't regret the things it interferes with. Don't be disabled in spirit, as well as physically,” he said in an interview with the New York Times.

1What does the underlined word juxtaposition in Paragraph 1 mean?

A.Combination.B.Trouble.

C.Difficulty.D.Mess.

2How did Hawking raise awareness of motor neurone diseases?

A.By trying not to get trapped by the disease.

B.By making the voice of the disabled heard.

C.By making people be used to the small screen.

D.By working for the BBC and film companies.

3What did Steve Bell think of Hawking?

A.He was the most well-known person.

B.He was affected greatly by many people.

C.He changed people's view of disabled people.

D.His physical disability affected his mind.

4What's Hawking’ s tip to disabled people?

A.Try to find a job and don't be unemployed.

B.Don't ignore your health.

C.Stick to the goals that you can reach.

D.Don’t think you are physically disabled.
