1) 及物动词+宾语例:I love my home. He bought an English dictionary. My mother gave me a new pen. 提示:常用的能接双宾语的及物动词有:give, teach, buy, lend, find, hand, leave, sell, show, read, pay, make, offer, build, pass, bring, cook等。 例:She came last week. It is raining hard. Class began at half past seven. What happened yesterday? She can dance and sing. She can sing many English songs. 连系动词有 be, seem, look, become, get, grow, feel, appear, remain, turn。 The story sounds true. Those oranges taste good. He doesn't like English. (doesn't是助动词,无词义;like是主要动词,有词义) He is singing. 常用的情态动词有 : Can(could) (能,会) 如:I can swim. May(might) (可以) 如: You may go now. Must (必须) 如:You must do your homework. Need (需要) 如:He needs our help. It can’t be the headmaster. He has gone to America. Can [Could] I come in? 3、must和have to的用法 表示必须、必要。 You must come in time. 回答must引出的问句时,如果是否定的回答,不能用mustn't,而要用needn't或don't have to。 — Must we hand in our exercise books today? — Yes, you must. (No, you don’t have to.) Do you need a dictionary? You  needn't give it back before Friday.

Everybody gets stressed from time to time. Different people feel stress in different ways. You can try taking these five steps the next time to overcome stress:

Step one: get support. When you need help, reach out to the people who care about you. Talk to a trusted adult, such as a parent, or a coach. And don't forget about your friends. They might be worried about the same test or have had similar problems.

Step two: don't freak out(崩溃)! Notice your feelings, and name them — for example, "I am so angry!" And say or think about why you feel that way. Find a way to calm down and get past the upset feelings and find a way to express them. Do breathing exercises, listen to music, or do whatever helps you shift to a better mood.

Step three: don't take it out on yourself. Sometimes when kids are stressed and upset they take it out on themselves. You should be kind to yourself and ask for the helping hand or pat on the back that you need — and deserve — to get you through the tough situation you're facing.

Step four: try to solve the problem. After you're calm and you have support from adults and friends, it's time to get down to business. You need to figure out what the problem is. Even if you can't solve all of it, maybe you can begin by solving a piece of it.

Step five: be positive --- most stress is temporary. It may not seem like it when you're in the middle of a stressful situation, but stress does go away, often when you figure out the problem and start working on solving it.

These five steps aren't magic, and you might have to do some steps more than once, but they do work.

A month went by in this manner, but a month was all I could bear.

The memory of Marguerite accompanied me wherever I went. I had loved that woman — still loved her — too much for her suddenly to mean nothing to me. Whatever feelings I might have for her now, I had to see her again. At once.

I knew Marguerite. Meeting me so unexpectedly must have thrown her into a state of great confusion. Probably, she had heard of my departure which had set her mind at rest as to the consequences of our sudden parting. But, seeing me back and coming face to face with me, weak as I was, she had sensed that my return had a purpose, and must have wondered what was going to happen.

If, when I saw her again, Marguerite had been unhappy; if, in taking my revenge (复仇), there had also been some way of helping her then I might well have forgiven her, and would certainly never have dreamed of doing her any harm. But when I saw her again, she was happy, at least on the surface. Another man had ensured her the wealthy life in which I had been unable to keep her. She brought shame both to my pride and my love; she was going to have to pay for what I had suffered.

I could not remain cold to what she did now. It followed that the thing that would hurt her most would be exactly for me to show coldness. Coldness, therefore, was the feeling which I now needed to pretend, not only in her presence but in the eyes of others.

I tried to put a smile on my face, and I went to call on Prudence with whom Marguerite was

staying.

Prudence saw me to the door, and I returned to my apartment with tears of anger in my eyes and thirst for revenge in my heart and thought only of finding a way to make the poor creature suffer.

It was a cold evening. My daughter and I were walking up Broadway. I didn’t notice a guy sitting inside a cardboard box. But Nora . She wasn’t even four, but she at my coat and said, “That man’s cold. Daddy, can we take him home?”

I don’t remember my . But I do remember a sudden feeling inside me. I had always been delighted at how much my daughter noticed in her , whether it was flying or children playing. But now she was noticing and beggary.

A fewdays later, I saw an article in the newspaper about volunteers who picked up a food package from a nearby school on a Sunday morning and it to an elderly person. It was quick and easy. I signed us up. Nora was about it. She could understand the importance of food, so she could easily see how our job was. When Sunday came, she was ready, but I had to myself to leave the house to fetch the food package. On my way to the school, I fought an urge (强烈愿望) to turn . The Sunday paper and coffee were waiting for me at home. Why do this? , we phoned the elderly person we’d been appointed. She us right over.

The building was in a bad state. Facing us was a silver-haired woman in an old dress. She took the package and asked us to come in. Nora ran inside. I unwillingly followed. walking inside, I saw that the department belonged to someone poor. Our hostess showed us some photos. Nora played and when it came time to say goodbye, we three hugged. I walked home .

Professionals call such a(n) “a volunteer opportunity”. They are opportunities and I’ve come to see. Where else but as volunteers do you have the opportunity to do something that’s good for others as well as for yourself? Nora and I often serve meals to needy people and 54 clothes for the homeless. Yet, as I’ve her grow over these past four years, I still wonder—which of us has benefited more?
