Now many students had iPods and think it is a fashion to use them. By using a iPod, we can listen to music and download lots of learning materials. Clear, it is of great use to our study. Some students, instead of, bring their iPods to the classroom and listen to music with earphones, which make the teachers and other students badly upset. Some of them even waste time in class played video games.

In my opinions, we should make good use iPods to get success in study. The classroom is a place when students study. Besides, the school should make a rule to guide we students to use iPods properly.

You may know the saying: An apple a day keeps the doctors away. A recent study by the Chinese University of Hong Kong has discovered another saying: An apple a day keeps old age away.

The study involved fruit flies, as they share many genes with humans. Researchers gave one group of fruit flies normal food, and another group of fruit flies got the same food including apple.

The results showed that flies that ate apple lived an average of 55 days longer than the flies that didn’t eat apple. The study also found that apple-eating flies were more able to walk, climb and move about as they became old, the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry reports.

The researchers believe that the antioxidants (抗氧化剂) found in apples are good for health.

In another experiment, researchers studied the diets of thousands of women. They found that those women who often ate apples were 20 percent less likely to have a heart attack.

Scientists have recently discovered the apple’s genetic code. This allows scientists to make new kinds of fruit that are healthier. Researchers are already using this information to grow apples with added antioxidants. Antioxidants help to keep eyes and joints (关节) healthy and protect against heart attacks and cancer.

Apples that help people lose weight may be in supermarkets in just four or five years. They are said to be “extra healthy” apples that can stop people from overeating.

Music is often thought of as “easy” or “play time”,but it's not that at all.Music plays a very important part in our education.Students who learn music learn a lot of music history at school. This includes “modes(调式)”,which were used in churches during the development of music. They are still used today.Students learn about the historical events that were taking place when the music they play was written. They learn what the music was used for.So much of our culture is in music and has been for centuries.Music also helps with science.Students use science to help them discover what sounds good together and what doesn't.Students also need science to understand something called the “overtone series”,which is about how music is produced by vibration(颤动)and why.Students learn a lot about languages. Many songs are written in other languages, including ancient ones.Students must learn to translate these works to understand what they are singing about. Some songs are famous poems or short works set to music.Students learn a huge amount of coordination(协调)through music,so parts of the body can work better together.Students must use fine motor skills in order to play an instrument.Singers and players must learn breath control and be in good shape to play.

Students learn about art. Some famous pieces were written about important works of art,and students learn about the artists and styles as they're playing the music.Music education also brings higher thinking to our children. It allows them to think about complex patterns (How can I make my part sound better? How do this music and these different parts fit together?).Students have to know absolutely what every other musician does at all times. In that way,it develops teamwork. As one can see, music is very important to education besides bringing us fun.

If I were a boy again, I would practice perseverance more often, and never give up a thing because it was hard or inconvenient. 1.“There are only two creatures,” says a proverb, “who can surmount(越过) the pyramids — the eagle and the snail.”

If I were a boy again, I would school myself into a habit of attention. I would let nothing come between me and the subject in hand. 2. The habit of attention becomes part of our life, if we begin early enough. I often hear grown-up people say, “I could not fix my attention on the lecture or book, although I wished to do so,” and the reason is, the habit was not formed in youth.

If I were a boy again, I would cultivate courage. “Nothing is so mild and gentle as courage, nothing so cruel and pitiless as cowardice (怯懦),” says a wise author. 3.The fear of ill exceeds(超过) the ill we fear. Dangers will arise in any career, but presence of mind will often conquer the worst of them.4.

If I were a boy again, I would look on the cheerful side. Life is very much like a mirror: if you smile upon it, it smiles back upon you; but if you frown and look doubtful on it, you will get a similar look in return. Inner sunshine warms not only the heart of the owner, but of all that come in contact with it.

5.I might write pages on the importance of learning very early in life to gain that point where a young boy can stand straight and decline doing an unworthy act because it is unworthy.

Finally, instead of trying hard to be happy, as if that were the sole purpose of life, I would, if I were a boy again, try still harder to make others happy.

A. If we want light, we must conquer darkness.

B. If I were a boy again, I would school myself to say “No” oftener.

C. We too often borrow trouble, and expect that may never appear.

D. I would remember that a good skater never tries to skate in two directions at once.

E. If I were a boy again, I would demand of myself more courtesy towards my companions and friends and indeed towards strangers as well.

F. Perseverance can sometimes equal genius in its results.

G. Be prepared for any fate, and there is no harm to be feared.

I had been rather proud of myself when my friends and family got the ticket, whether it was for speeding, parking or stop sign violations (违反). It was something that happened to others. But last Friday I joined the club.

I was asked to do a new project last week. On Friday morning on my way to work, I suddenly remembered that I had spent the past six weeks without considering that I had a week’s vacation planned during that time. I was very disappointed with myself for not remembering it.

The truth is that I was not paying enough attention to my driving and I did not come to a complete stop at the stop sign in front of a school. I was so distracted (思想不集中的) that I didn’t even notice I had a policeman on my tail with his lights flashing. Finally I looked in my mirror and caught on.

The policeman was rude and took my papers. Fortunately, I had everything up to date and since I had never had a ticket before, there was nothing for him to do but write me a ticket. While I was sitting there in the seat of “shame”, I felt bad. If I had been that distracted and a child had run onto the road, perhaps I would have not reacted as well as I could have. It was a wake - up call.

People at work asked me if I tried to talk my way out of it. Frankly, it never occurred to me I felt sorry. Now I no longer have a clean driving record. Please be careful out there, as a moment’s distraction can lead to tragedy.
