My name is Li Hua，and I'm from China，I am writing to thank you forgiving me a chance to learn about deaf people．
Last month，as a representative of Chinese middle-school students，I took part in volunteer activities you organized．I lived with deaf people in the International Home for the Deaf for a week．It was the first time that I had been in such close contact with deaf people．We participated in other activities as well，such as giving speeches to tell people to care for deaf people．
Though it was a short time，I learned a lot．I learned about how they live and what they do in their spare time，as well as how they communicate and express themselves．I myself can now use some simple sign language，and I've realized that I'm very lucky to be able to make their lives easier and let them know we care about them．Without you，I would not have known all about this．I promise I will do my part to continue helping them．
