Climate Cool has been launched on May 4th, 2009. The program, known as 'Climate Cool', is co-organized by China Science and Technology Exchange Center and the British Council. Aiming to spread climate change information to at least 55 million people in 20 cities in China, the program not only provides climate change education in schools for 1800 high school teachers and 200,000 students, but also trains over 1650 journalists and journalism students. During the activities, the participants are expected to inform their peers, local communities and wider audiences of the issues. The program will surely raise students’ awareness and understanding of the impact of the global climate change.
