As she dismounted （下车） her bike and leaned it against the gate post，she focused on the path that led to the house and then on the house itself．She was so disappointed as she realized all the windows were plain and rather dirty，reflecting nothing other than the sad neglect of the house that was derelict （无主的）．
So sad she didn't go any further and turned，and heart broken as she remounted her bike．As she glanced up she saw a sight to amaze her．There across the way on her side of the valley was a little house and its windows glistened （闪耀） golden as the sun shone on her little home．
She realized that she had been living in her golden house and all the love and care she found there was what made her home the'golden house'．Everything she dreamed was right there in front of her nose!

To build a good relationship with foreigners，you should know the customs of the country you visit．This passage will help you earn the trust of the natives．
Japan
Japanese people follow both customs of shaking hands and bowing when greeting．You need to respond as the host does，either by bowing or shaking hands．This is different form the Ukrainian style of greeting．There，you should be ready to present your right cheek，on which three kisses will be planted by the natives，along with a hug．
China

I had unusual experience last Saturday．On that day，I was walking along a street when I saw a lady knocking down by a truck，and the driver just drove away．Without any hesitation，I rushed across the street，put her in my back and carry her to a hospital nearby．On arriving at the hospital，however，she said it was I which knocked her down and demanded I paid for the hospital bills．That really surprised me！Because I tried to explain，she insisted that I should be the very person who is responsible for the accident！I was total uzzled．Is it right or wrong to help other？What should I do the next time？
