Being responsible is actually not that difficult. I used to think it is hard to grow up into a responsible member of the society. An incident happening in a rainy Sunday afternoon changed my attitude. I was on my way to the bookstore and was waiting for the green light while a girl was knocked down by passing car, which drove off quickly. A man immediately gave her first aid and I had joined in without hesitation. Soon many help was given to the girl. Because we sent her to the nearest hospitals in time, she was able to receive properly treatment. Not badly injured, I expressed gratitude to those giving help. Compared with the escaping driver, I was proud of what I did.

I was excited when I hear that our community was to have its own McDonald¡¯s restaurant. I thought about all those young people whom would not have to go to the next town to buy its favorite burgers and chips. McDonald¡¯s cares about health eating too and works with scientists to provide food that is high quality, safe and healthy. They often provide salads as good as burgers and chops. You can also choose between cola with milk shakes. Of course it also means more work for our area that need jobs badly. McDonald¡¯s says they are interested in doing what is right for the community and being good neighbor. So I think they will be concerned about provide parking for the cars in our main street.

Most drinks stating that they are fruit-flavored (Ë®¹ûζµÀµÄ) contain no fruit at all, while most of the rest contain only a small quantity of fruit, according to a study carried by the British Food Commission.

¡°Shoppers need to check the labels (±êÇ©) before buying drinks, though sometimes the actual content can be non-existent,¡± said Food Commission spokesperson Ian Tokelove. ¡°Food production is highly competitive. ¡¾1¡¿ It will increase profits, and consumers won¡¯t always realize they are being tricked.¡±

Flavorings are focused on the flavors of natural food products such as fruits, meats and vegetables, or creating flavor for food products that do not have the desired flavors. Researchers analyzed the contents of 28 strawberry-flavored products sold in stores. ¡¾2¡¿ Of the 11 products that did contain strawberries, five of them contained less than one percent real fruit. In addition, each juice box contained nearly eight teaspoons of sugar.

¡¾3¡¿ Let¡¯s take jam as an example. Some strawberry-flavored jam was labeled as containing no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners, but it contained absolutely no strawberries at all.

¡¾4¡¿ Consumers have the rights to know clearly about what they have bought. Under current UK law, food packages do not have to distinguish between natural and artificial flavoring. ¡°Describing a product as strawberry flavor and covering the surface of the packet with pictures of strawberries is misleading. ¡¾5¡¿ Unfortunately, it is also legal and widespread,¡± Tokelove said. ¡°It¡¯s time to take measures to protect the consumers¡¯ rights.¡±

A. The products which contain real fruit are popular with people.

B. Even products advertised as more natural often contained no fruit.

C. They found that about 60 percent of them didn¡¯t contain any fruit at all.

D. If companies can cut their costs by using flavoring, they are likely to do so.

E. It is important and necessary to demand a small amount of flavoring in the products.

F. Actually the product contains just a tiny percentage of strawberry or even no fruit at all.

G. The Food Commission suggested all flavors used in a product should be listed on the packaging.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿Visitors worry that London is an expensive city but there really are so many free things to do here. The following ideas should get you started.

All of London's major museums are free, but most offer some special exhibitions for a fee. My favorite is the Museum of London where you can learn the history of London from Roman times to today. And I love the Geffrye Museum which shows English domestic interiors and helps bring to life what it was really like to live in London.

I regularly hear people tell me the Queen Mary's Rose Gardens in Regent's Park is their favorite spot in London, and who am I to argue? I would also recommend St. James's Park as it offers one of the best views of Buckingham Palace. Hyde Park is enormous and Kensington Gardens nearby includes the ever popular Diana Memorial Playground and the Peter Pan Statue.

No visit to London is complete without seeing this military tradition. The Queen's Guard in London changes in the Forecourt inside the gates of Buckingham Palace at 11.30am every day in the summer and every other day in the winter. Get there early and view the spectacle from outside the front gates.

Trafalgar Square is one of Britain's greatest visitor attractions and was designed by John Nash in the 1820s and constructed in the 1830s. This iconic square has many sights to see including Nelson's Column and the National Gallery. It is both a tourist attraction and the main focus for political demonstrations. Every December, Norway donates a marvelous Christmas tree, to thank Britain for liberation from the Nazis.
