16.Nervous suspects(嫌疑犯) in Britain's newest police station may feel a bit more relaxed by a pleasant yellow color on the door.If they are to confess a crime(坦白罪行),the blue one on the wall may help.
Gwent Police have given up colors such as grey and brown in the 20th-century police cells(牢房) and have used color psychology to decorate them.
Ystrad Mynach station has four cells with g lass doors for prisoners who suffer from the complete loneliness.Designers have painted the frames yellow, which researchers say is a calming color.Other cells have a royal blue line because the color can encourage truthfulness.
The station has 31 cells, including 12 with a"live scan"system for drunken prisoners, which watches the rise and fall of their chests. An alarm sounds if a prisoner's breathing stops and goes on ringing until the door is opened.
Designers and psychologists have worked for years on color. It is said that blue means trust, duty, coolness and calmness. It also means coldness and unfriendliness.Strong blues are believed to help people think clearly and lighter; softer colors will calm the mind.
Yellow is linked with self-respect and friendliness.Get the color wrong and it could cause fear, depression(压抑) and worry, but the right yellow can lift spirits and self-respect.
Ingrid Collins, who has been doing the experiments about the effects of color, said color was an"energy force".She said,"Blue is of some help to communication but I'm not sure whether it is helpful to truthful communication."
Yellow works on the mind, she said.Red,on the other hand, should never be considered because it could increase aggression(攻击).Mrs.Collins praised the designers for using colors in the cells.Gwent is not the first British force to experiment with color to calm down or make prisoners co-operate.In the 1990s,Strathclyde Police used pink in the cells after they studied the result of the research carried out by American scientists.

Although successful,Lu Xun still worried greatly about China's future.In 1926,he moved to Shanghai and gave up writing stories in order to devote himself to what he called"pen warfare".He now only wrote articles which called on the people to fight against the government.For this,the government stopped him from publishing any more books.He was forced to write his articles using false names.
Since his death in 1936,Lu Xun's importance and influence have grown.Today,many of his writings are included in school textbooks and his works are read by millions around the world.

20.China's space dream took a step closer to reality as the Tiangong1module blasted off into the night sky on Thursday from the Gobi Desert.
The Long MarchⅡF T1rocket,under the unmanned module,Tiangong1,lifted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 9:16pm as planned.
Ten minutes later Tiangong1separated from the rocket on its way to orbit,350kilometers above Earth.The module deployed (展开)its two solar panels,which provide power,at 9:28pm.
The launch paves the way for China's first rendezvous (汇合) and docking mission.An unmanned ShenzhouⅧspaceship will be launched in November to dock with Tiangong1.
Two more missions are scheduled for next year and astronauts will board Tiangong1,which can also function as a space lab.
Wu Ping,the space program's spokeswoman,said that the ability to rendezvous and dock is important for building a space station,which China has scheduled for around 2020.
Zhou Jianping, chief designer of China's manned space program, said that the space lab and future space station provide a rare platform for conducting experiments that could lead to breakthroughs in the study of materials and biological pharmacy (医药).
"Experiments made in the microgravity of space can lead to unexpected results.For example,gas and liquid are unable to mix on Earth,but in space they mix naturally,"he said,"The primary purpose of China's manned space station is to peacefully explore space,and through it,serve mankind."
Some have questioned the participation of the military in the program.He said that China is firmly opposed to the weaponization of space and the program is peaceful.
The goal of the program,which has three steps,is to build a 60ton space station around 2020.The first of these,extravehicular activity,was completed successfully in 2008after ShenzhouⅦwas launched.
Rendezvous and docking is what is being experimented with.The  third  technology involves cargo spaceships ferrying supplies to a space lab.The fourth tackles problems concerning the prolonged sustaining of life on a space lab,especially recycling air and water.
