Many stories surround Lord Byron’s time as a student of Cambridge UniversityArriving in 1805, he wrote a letter complaining that it was a place of “mess and drunkenness”However, it seems as though Byron did manage to pass the time pleasantly enoughI’m not just talking about the pet bear he kept in his roomsHe spent a great deal of time walking in the village.

It is also said that on occasion Byron swam naked by moonlight in the lake, which is now known as Byron’s PoolA couple of miles past Grantchester in the south Cambridgeshire countryside, the pool is surrounded by beautiful circular paths around the fieldsThe cries of invisible birds make the trip a lovely experience and on the way home you can drop into the village for afternoon teaIf you don’t trust me, then perhaps you’ll take it from Virginia Woolf – over a century after Byron, she reportedly took a trip to swim in the same pool

【题目】By keeping your daily habits healthy, you can add years to your life. Here are some tips for living longer.

Keep daily habits healthy. Many of us are set in our daily habits. We eat the same meal, wear the same clothes, take the same route to work and work the same old job. But what we sometimes fail to recognize is the huge influence that our daily habits can have on our health. It is very important for us to keep our daily habits healthy.1

Take some exercise every day. Daily exercise does improve our health. In fact, studies show that daily exercise can add three years to our life. Opportunity for exercise is everywhere—just be creative. Whenever we can, walk to work.2It’s really that simple.

Eat a healthy breakfast. Researchers have found that those who eat an early morning meal are less likely to be too fat and get diseases compared with those who don’t.3All in all, eating breakfast is a great and healthy way to start our day.

Have enough sleep.4Failing to get at least seven hours of sleep appears to increase the risk of major illnesses including cancer, heart disease, diabetes and many more.

Get chances to communicate.5Any social communication can positively affect our physical and mental well-being because we can have more time and chances to communicate with others. All of these can add years to our lives.

AA lack of quality sleep can shorten our life.

BExercise also helps us keep away from illnesses.

CIf we live or work in a tall building, just take the stairs.

DBreakfast-eaters also report feeling better both mentally and physically.

E. There’s an old saying that says a good friend is cheaper than treatment.

【题目】阅读下面短文,然后按要求写一篇120词左右的英语短文。

A group of frogs were travailing through the woods. And two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two that they were as good as dead. The two frogs didn’t listen and tried to jump out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop. Finally, one of the frogs heard what other frogs were saying and gave up, so he died.

The other frog went on jumping as hard as he could. Once again, the other frogs cried at him and told him to stop and just allow himself to die. He jumped even harder and finally made himself out. When he got out, the other frogs said,“ Didn’t you hear us?” the frog explained to them that something was wrong with his hearing. He thought they were encouraging him the whole time.

There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift him or her up and help them make it through the day. Be careful what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words --- anyone can speak bad words that rob another of the spirit to go on in difficult times. But an encouraging word can go such a long time.
