How are you getting on with your work and study?
How time flies1! It has been three years since I came to China. I’ll introduce Mid-autumn Day to you in reply to your letter.
The Mid-Autumn Day is a traditional festival with a long history which falls on August 15th in Chinese lunar calendar. It is a time when they celebrate the harvest and enjoy the getting-together with families and friends. It sounds like our Thanksgiving, right? The most pleasant thing is that they worship and appreciate the bright and full moon in the yard while tasting mooncakes and various kinds of food. Nowadays, the mooncakes have a variety of tastes and are in all kinds of shapes. I prefer the kind with a yellow egg yolk hidden inside. The yolk looks like a bright, full moon。All in all, the Mid-Autumn Day is a time for relaxation and celebration and most importantly, reunion of families.
