【题目】Most teens need 8 to 10 hours of sleep each night. But many teens have trouble sleeping. Lack of sleep can affect sports performance, increase our chances of getting sick, and may be linked to weight gain in some people. How can we get sleep we need? Here are some ideas:

1 You’ve probably noticed how much running around kids do and how soundly they sleep. Take a tip from a little child and get at least 60 minutes of exercise a day. Physical activity can decrease stress and help people feel more relaxed. Just don’t work out too close to bedtime because exercise can wake you up.

●Avoid alcohol and drugs. Lots of people think that alcohol or drugs will make them relaxed, but that’s not the case. Drugs and alcohol disturb sleep. 2

●Say goodnight to electronics. 3 You’d better make your bedroom a tech-free zone, at least shut everything down an hour or more before lights out.

●Keep a sleep routine. Going to bed at the same time every night helps sleep. 4 So you can relax by reading, listening to music or spending time with a pet.

●Expect a good night’s sleep. 5 Say, “Tonight, I will sleep well” several times during the day. It can also help to practice breathing exercises or gentle yoga poses before bed.

A. Be active during the day.

B. Do some extreme sports.

C. Either of them will make a person wake up at night.

D. Expert recommend using the bedroom for sleep only.

E. Creating a set bedtime procedure can improve this relaxation effect.

F. Instead of worrying that you won’t sleep, remind yourself that you can.

G. You can consult a doctor who will give you suggestions on how to sleep well.

It has been more than 50 years since Harvard Business School started admitting women, yet the institution(机构) is still trying hard to find out how to best attract and support them. Its latest effort: a program targeting women's colleges—place that are not traditional feeding grounds for the male-majority business school.
The program is called Peek. It offers juniors, seniors and recent graduates from women's colleges the opportunity to read and discuss four HBS case studies in class specially taught by top HBS members. About 50 to 70 promising students will pay $500 for their stay there.
Women make up 41 percent of Harvard Business School class of 2016---the most the school has had. In 1985, women made up only one-quarter of the graduating class. Harvard is not alone when it comes to struggling with a gender gap (性别差别). At Wharton, the class of 2016 is 40 percent women; at Standford Business School, it's 42 percent. No top business school had gotten to 50 percent yet.
Despite the Peek program's good intention, the $500 fee bothered someone, said John A. Byrne, the editor of business school new site. "The fact that HBS would charge women for the chance of coming to campus rubbed a lot of people the wrong way,” said Byrne. HBS said the $500 fee was a “fair price” for room and daily meals at the business school for a weekend, and didn't actually cover the full costs of the program.
For years, women students at Harvard Business School failed to keep pace with men. In 2010, Harvard business School got a new manager, Nitin Nohrin, who promised a turnaround. Nohrin designed a program to encourage women students and professors. He promised to change the school's case studies so that at least 20 percent of the people in the business texts would be women.
(1)What can we learn about the program Peek?
A.It is free for new students
B.It offers all kinds of business classes
C.It is helped by the best teachers
D.It is intended for high school students
(2)What is the main idea of the Paragraph 3?
A.women are not good at business management.
B.Women are less interested in business school.
C.Women students are less talented than men students.
D.Women students are becoming fewer and fewer in college.
(3)In the eyes of Byrne, Harvard's program ___________.
A.will be a total failure
B.will waste lots of money
C.doesn't have many good intention
D.will shut some students out
(4)What is the text mainly about?
A.HBS's new plan to attract more women students.
B.HBS's new manager Nitin Nohria.
C.HBS's effort to attract talented students.
D.HBS, the best business school ever world-wide.

The ancient Chinese game Go is considered one of the most complicated strategy games. Winning the game was seen as a test of human creativity. That is, until a machine found a way to do it better. Alpha Go, an artificial intelligence (AI) machine built by Google, won its first match against South Korean Lee Sedol on March 9. Still digesting his loss, Lee said during the post-game press conference, “1

But that was just the beginning. In the following week, Alpha Go outperformed Lee in another three matches. 2

Some people have been arguing that AI is harmful to the human race. 3 Similarly, UK scientist Stephen Hawking once warned that the “development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race”.

So are we really on the verge(边缘)of living in the world shown in the Terminator(终结者)sci-fimovies? “Not quite,” answered The Economist. After all, it’s hard to get computers to apply their knowledge to everyday situations. “4” Thomas Johnson said, founder of an AI toy company. “But for a robot, to walk up and down hills requires so many complicated decisions to be made in real time, and it’s really difficult to do.”

As The Economist put it: “We have a long way to go before AI’s abilities truly begin to approach the human brain, despite how powerful the technology can be when focusing on a single task.”

Meanwhile, John Mark off of The New York Times argued that researchers should build artificial intelligence that aims for “intelligence augmentation (增加)” (IA) in which computers make people more effective.

He wrote: “5Since technology depends on the values of its creators, we can make choices using technology to improve the world.”

A. Many robots fell over like little kids learning to walk.

B. We take for granted things like balance and vision.

C. Eventually, our fate is in our own hands.

D. So what is next for AI and humanity?

E. That made the five-match score 4-1 in favor of Alpha Go.

F. In 2014, US businessman Elon Musk said at an MIT conference that developing the technology is calling up a “demon(魔鬼)”.

G. I am in shock; I admit that.

【题目】根据短文内容,从下面所给的A—F选项中选出能概括每一段主题的最佳选项。选项中有一项为多余项。
A. Give more aid to weak schools.
B. Children should share the same educational rights.
C. Heavy load is supposed to be taken off the students’ shoulders.
D. Bring the industrial management of education to an end.
E. Balanced education may stop school choice.
F. Key schools and classes are unreasonable.
Education should be intended to make better citizens instead of making money. Money can be earned by starting business. It's time to abolish(废除,消灭) the industrialized education so that all the people can benefit from real education.
Concrete(具体的) measures should be taken to lessen the students’ heavy burden. Not empty talks but concrete and solid policies can make sure all the students grow soundly.
My parents are farmer-turned workers. I think we should be treated equally with the local children. We should have equal chance to go to both the local public schools and take the national college entrance exam rather than go back to our native places.
School choice has become a serious educational problem. To solve this problem, we must stick to the balanced development. The government should offer more support to weak schools and have all the teachers exchange their work among all the schools.
The government's unwillingness to spend enough money on education makes key schools turn to parents for money to build new buildings and increase teachers’ income, widening the gap between key schools and common schools. Therefore, in order to realize the balance of education, the government should offer more help to weak schools.

UNICEF says more than 3,700 children across West Africa have lost one or both parents to Ebola. Doctors Without Borders Axelle Vandoornick said, “The growing number of Ebola orphans is a crisis of its own. There are many orphans. This is again when we talk about crisis in a crisis; this is one of the consequences at a social level. There are more and more orphans.”
Child care services in Sierra Leone are almost non-existent. Ministry of Health Social Services officer Doris Mansare is in charge of running Kailahun's first Ebola orphanage. She said, “It's difficult for us to find family members, so this short-term care center was established to basically insure that we get the children from the treatment center, those that are cured from the Ebola virus and also those that are with their parents, but then are negative. We bring them to the short-term care center for three or four days, then they are reunited with family members at their separate locations. These three siblings were living alone after both parents died of Ebola. Their village rejected them. We have children who are unaccompanied and living alone in their family home, about 50 of such children, who are living alone.”
Vandoornick said. “It can be hard to find surviving family. Ebola is wiping out entire families because the infection inside the families is the highest. A mother kissing her child, a father taking his daughter in his arms, and when you have one suspected case in one family, soon after we have basically all members of the family.”
The fate of many of these children is unclear. Some of their parents are still sick, kept in isolation at one of Sierra Leone's Ebola case management centers. Doris Mansare said she hopes the new center will help the growing number of orphans, but she worries about their future. “We are having more orphans, more unaccompanied children and children will become vulnerable in the future; some will not be able to cope with the care givers where we place them, and what can happen is that it will lead to other child protection issues like they becoming street children,” said Doris Mansare. Vandoornick hopes there will be many child care centers set up across Sierra Leone.
