  I'm glad to read your letter and I'd like to be your pen-friend. I'm Li Hua,aged 17, and I'm studying at Guangming Middle School. At school we have Chinese,maths,English,physics,chemistry and PE lessons. After school in the after?noon,we usually have sports and games. In the evening we do our lessons at school. We are busy but happy.

  This summer vacation,I went to an English summer camp. In the camp,we had an English speech competition,and watched wonderful performances given by the students. Some English teachers fromChina, theUSAand theUKjoined us. I have made many new friends and I really had great fun.

 One of the greatest runners of the 20th century,Emil Zatopek reigned long-distance running from 1948 until 1954 when he won a remarkable 38 consecutive (连续的) 10,000-metre race.  Every boy and every girl expects their parents to give them pocket money. Why do their parents just give them a certain amount? 1    

  The amount of money that parents give to their children to spend as they wish differs from family to family. 2     Some children get weekly pocket money. Others get monthly pocket money.
