In Florida, one McDonald's customer started a pay-it-forward chain that other 249 customers to be generous and do the same.

ABC News reports the spirit of is in the air as 250 drive-thru customers at a local McDonald's paid for the meals of the people next to them.

When Torie Keene was paying for her food on Wednesday morning, it occurred to her to pay for the meal of the car next to her. One day in my class, the children were busy preparing for the coming concert. Suddenly Patty came up to me and said, “Every year I-g-g-g-get to be a quiet student. The other kids are always in a p-p-p-play or something. This year, I w-w-want to recite a p-p-p-poem myself!”

What is new, however, is the speed at which they are dying out.
