2．Choosing the right college is one of the most important decisions-and many times the first important life decision-students will face．Many high school students may feel confused，especially those who want to study abroad．

Safety schools are those that the student feels confident about being admitted to easily； target schools are those where the student would be happy but is unsure of acceptance； dream schools represent the student's ideal （理想的） schools，but are unlikely to accept the student．
"If students have taken the time to think about their needs，and know what each school offers and what it will cost to attend before they enroll （入学），it can pave （铺） the road for a memorable （令人难忘的） college experience，"she said．
