A teenage girl couldn't stand(忍受) her family rules,so she left home.
She wanted to be a star and became1. But she had a little education and  a few years later, she had to ask for food on the street for a living. Now her father has2. Her mother is an old woman. But she is still  3 her daughter. She went to every corner of the city. Everywhere she goes, she put up a big photo of herself on the wall. At the lower part of the 4 she writes,“I still love you …Come back home!”
One day,the daughter saw one of the photos. She was so surprised that she couldn't believe her 5. “Is that my mother?”She moved 6and read the words,“I still love you…” She cried. When she got home,it was early morning. She pushed the door. The door 7 itself. She rushed to the bedroom at once. Her mother was sleeping there. She woke her mother up,“It's me!Your daughter is back home!”The mother and daughter looked at each other excitedly, full of 8 tears. The daughter asked,“  9 is the door unlocked?A thief could get in.” The mother answered softly,“The door 10locked  after you left. We miss you all the time. We believe that you'll come back some day.”
The door of parents’ love for their children will never be closed.

“Maybe your mother’s packing8things for a change.”
“No,” Sheila said. “I checked in the morning. The sandwich changes9.”
“You are not the10one with a magic lunch bag,” Beatrice said, turning around from the table behind her. “I have one, too. See? This is my magic bag.”

It was unusually quiet in the emergency room on December 25.
I was the nurse on duty that day. I didn't think there would be any patients. Just then five bodies1at my desk, a pale woman and four small children.
“Are you all sick?” I asked.
“Yes,” she said2, lowering her head.
But when they described their problems, things got a little strange. Two of the children had headaches, but they didn’t show any 3of headaches at all. Two children had earaches, but only one could tell me which ear was affected. The mother4of a cough but seemed to work to produce it.
I didn't say anything,5I explained that they might wait for a little while before a doctor saw her. She answered, “Take your time; it's warm here.”
I checked the chart after another nurse had finished registering(登记) the family. No6—they were homeless. The waiting room was warm.
I looked at the family by the Christmas tree. The littlest one was pointing at the television and saying something to her mother. The oldest one was looking at lights on the Christmas tree.
I went back to the nurses' station and mentioned we had a homeless family in the waiting room. The nurses who felt bored with 7Christmas, turned to compassion((怜悯) for the family just trying to get warm on Christmas. The team went into action. We began to prepare a party for our Christmas8. We needed presents. We put together oranges and apples in a basket. We collected from different departments candies, crayons and other things available that could be presents.
9, as the family walked to the door to leave, the four-year-old child came running back, gave me a hug and10, “Thanks for being our angels today.”

2 my father walked into the room, my brother cowered (畏缩) slowly. He sensed that he had done something 3. From a distance I could see that he had 4my father's new book and scribbled (乱画) in it. Now, looking at my father in 5, he and I both waited for his punishment.
My father 6up his prized book, looked at it carefully, and then sat down, without saying a word. Books were 7 to him. He was a clergyman(牧师) and for him, books were 8 .What he did next was unbelievable. Instead of 9 my brother, he sat down, took the pen from 10, and then wrote in the book himself, alongside the scribbles John had made:
John s work, 1959, age 2. How many times have I looked into your beautiful face and into your warm, alert (警觉的) eyes looking up at me? And how many times have I11God for the one who has now scribbled in my new book?
"Wow," I thought, "This is punishment?" The years and the books came and went. Our family experienced what all families go through and perhaps a little bit more: happiness and 12, laughter and tears. We always knew our parents 13 us and that one of the proofs (证明) of their love was the book. From time to time we would 14it, look at the scribbles, read my father's expression of love, and feel 15.
