                                                           Whose car?
A very embarrassing event happened to me when I was at the park. This haed  not long ago.  My
brother was driving me to the park.  I was supposed to meet my friend to give her the video tape. My
brother and I went to meet my friend, and I gave my friend her tape.  While we were going back, I was
looking down and wasn't paying attention.  I saw my brother turn and I thought he was going to his car.
I opened the door not knowing whose car it was.  While I was in the car I noticed that hc wasn't inside.
I looked back and saw him entcring his own car.  I was surprised that I had gone into a stranger's car.
Nobody was in the car, but I saw the owner coming toward me.  I ran out and ran to my brother's car.
My brother was laughing at me.  He was laughing so much that he couldn't answer my question. I was
very mad at him and was very embarrassed at the same time.  The owner of the car saw me run out and
looked at me in a strange way.  I just ignored (²»¹Ë,²»Àí£© him and went to my brother's car.  I
thought  the owner was going to come up to us and say something but he didn't, so I felt relieved (·ÅÐÄ).  After that, my brother gave me five dollars without an explanation, but l'm  guessing it was to make
me happy again.  That was my most embarrassing event that had ever happened to me.

Everyone may play a joke on¢Ù others on April Fool's Day¢Ú. And my father did last April Fool's Day.
It was Sunday and we were all sitting at the table when father suddenly smiled and said to us, "Oh, dear,
I forgot to tell you the good news. There's a letter from granny. She is coming to see us this afternoon. I'm
going to meet her at the station¢Û." With these words¢Ü he went out.
How happy we were! We hadn't seen granny for nearly a year and we missed her very much. After lunch
my mother and I went shopping. We bought a lot of food that granny liked. My sister cleaned the house. It
was four o'clock when we finished and we sat around the table, waiting for granny. At last the door opened
and came in my father, alone.?
     "Where's granny?" We asked.
Father laughed and said, "April Fools! Today is April 1st, April Fool's Day."
We were disappointed after we heard this, but we all laughed.?

The Artist and the Beggar (1)
An artist was coming home by train one day. He hadn't much money but was very kind. He gave his last
few coins(2) to a beggar, but he saw another one, and forgot that he didn't have any money in his pockets.
He asked the man if he liked to have lunch with him, and the beggar, of course, agreed. So they went into a
small restaurant and had a good meal.
In the end, the artist could not pay the bill (3), and the beggar had to do so. The artist felt very sorry for it,
so he said to the beggar, "Come home with me in a taxi, my friend. And I'll give you the money for our lunch."
"Oh, no!" the beggar answered quickly. "I had to pay for your lunch, but I'm not going to pay for your taxi
home!"
