Are you surprised to see one or two twins in your class? What about 28 sets of them?

Andover High School in Minnesota, USA, has applied for (申请) the Guinness Book of World Records (吉尼斯世界纪录大全), because it has 28 sets of twins among its students.

“Having 28 sets of twins at any school is really uncommon,” said Dr. Nancy Segal, a twins researcher (研究者) at the University of Minnesota. “There is no good explanation (解释)…. Maybe their parents eat well.”

Peyton Zapzalka, one of the twin sisters, said the twin students had their own way of life. “We think nothing of finishing each other’s words,” she said.

Brent and Nathan Strong are another pair of twins. The brothers have already won something. They were given two tickets by a school to a twins game this year. Brent and Nathan will go to university on baseball scholarship (奖金)。

“Brent and Nathan’s Mom is our little sister’s fifth-grade teacher,” said Peyton Zapzalka. “We’re all connected (联系), one way or another.”

One example: the Zapzalkas were born on July 22, 1994—the same day their twin classmates Matt and Mike Schultz were born—in the same hospital.
