I have known Ting for a long time. She was a friend of mine in high school. Ting used to see me as her best friend in my class because, as she said , it was easy to be friends with me . Therefore ,when we had time in school, she often came to me and we would talk about many things. Though I didn’t have special feelings about this friend, I was fine with this because I didn’t see the reason why I should say “no” to a friend I didn’t hate.
But there was a while when she came to me, and usually said nothing meaningful. I started to feel tired and then tried not to meet her. After that she never came to me. Though guilty, I started to feel free about my life and never thought of anything about her feeling.
After a month or two, I heard from other friends that Ting’s father had passed away six months before. I was so shocked! Then I suddenly realized why Ting had often come to me but said nothing special. She needed my company (陪伴). I felt so bad about myself that I went to find her the next day. But I only found that she had moved away to another place.
At that time, I found myself so selfish that I only thought of myself but didn’t even try to ask a friend what happened in her life.

根据第一段提到because I didn’t see the reason why I should say “no” to a friend I didn’t hate.
Though I didn’t have special feelings about this friend, I was fine with this虽然我对她没有特别感觉,但感觉还行,故选D项。
After a month or two, I heard from other friends that Ting’s father had passed away six months before. I was so shocked! Then I suddenly realized why Ting had often come to me but said nothing special一两个月后,我听其它朋友说他父亲六个月之前去世了,我才明白他为什么来找我倾诉却没有说什么特殊的事,所以B项是错误的。
Watch a good teacher, and you will see that he doesn’t sit still before his class; he stands the whole time he is teaching; he walks about, using his arms, hands and fingers to help him in his explanations, and his face to express feelings.
There are very important differences between the teacher’s work and the actor’s.
The actor has to speak words which he has learnt by heart; he has to repeat exactly the same words each time he plays a certain part, even his movements and the ways in which he uses his voice are usually fixed beforehand(预先).What he has to do is to make all these carefully learnt words and actions seem natural on the stage. A good teacher works in quite a different way. His audience take an active part in his play: they ask and answer questions, they obey orders, and if they don’t understand anything, they say so. The teacher can’t learn his part by heart, but must invent it as he goes along.
I have known many teachers who are fine actors in class but are unable to take part in a stage-play because they can’t keep strictly to what another has written.
