In 1995,Oseola McCarty gave a present of $150 000 to the University of Southern Mississippi. She wanted to help poor students. It was a very generous thing to do. It was late on a snowing night. Doctor Van was driving fast to the hospital to do an operation (手术) on a badly hurt (受伤的) person. Minutes later he came to a red traffic light and had to stop to wait. A man suddenly opened the door of the car and got in.
