The poor are very wonderful people. One evening my sisters and I went out and picked up four people from the street. One of them  31  a most terrible condition. I told my sisters, "You  32  the other three. I take care of this one who looks  33 .”So I did for her all that my love can do.I  34  her in bed, and there was such a beautiful smile on her face. She took hold of my hand as she   35  ‘’Thank you" and then she died. I could not help but examined my heart before her. I asked myself  36  I would say if I was in her place. My answer was very simple.1 would say I was hungry, cold, homeless, and I was dying, or something else, but she gave me her  37  love. Then she died with a smile on her face.
I am going to try to make a home for many people who have no home. Because I believe that love begins at home, and if we can create a home for the poor, I think that  38  love will spread(延伸、撒开).Through this love we will be able to bring peace to the poor. So let us always meet  39  with a smile, for the smile is the  40  of love, and once we begin to love each other naturally, we will do something for others.

A girl complained to her father about her hard life. She didn't know what she had to do and wanted to give up.She felt tired of fighting and fighting. One problem had been finished but another came over.
Her father,a cook, took her into the kitchen. He poured water into three pans and boiled(煮沸) them. After boiling,in the first pan was put some carrots, the second was put some eggs and the last was put with coffee.
The girl waited impatiently (不耐烦的),confused by what her father did.About 20 minutes later, her father took out the carrots and put them in a bowl.He took the eggs and put them in a bowl. After that the coffee was poured into a cup.“My sweet heart, what do you see?” he asked.

She asked,“What did you do this for,Father?” He explained that each had the same unlucky experience—the boiling water, but each had a different result. Have successful people ever felt sad? Do they have any "secrets" to success? The answers to these questions can be found in US president Barack Obama’s "back to school" speech. Here is a small part of his speech.
I know that sometimes, after watching TV, you may feel that you can be rich and successful without any hard work--that your ticket to success is through rapping (饶舌音乐) or basketball or being a TV star. But when chances come, you may not succeed.
The truth is, being successful is hard. And you may not succeed at everything the first time you try. That’s OK. Some of the most successful people in the world have had the most failures. JK Rowling’s first Harry Potter book was rejected(退稿)12 times before it finally came out. Michael Jordan lost hundreds of games and missed thousands of shots during his career (职业生涯). But he once said, "I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
These people succeeded because they understand that you can’t let your failures beat you--you have to let them teach you. You have to let them show you what to do differently next time.
No one’s born being good at things. You become good at things through hard work. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
And even when you’re struggling(挣扎), even when you’re discouraged(泄气), and you feel like other people have given up on you--don’t ever give up on yourself. Because when you give up on yourself, you give up on your country.

D.If you are not struggling or discouraged, you can give up on yourself.

Think back to a time in your life when you tried something new.
When I was a teenager I volunteered to pass out water at a local race. I was so excited to see all the different runners who passed by and quickly took a cup of water. Some ran past, some walked past and a few wheeled past.
I saw so many types of people doing it. I thought maybe I could do it too! The next year I decided to run for the race, but I had little running practice. I just wanted to finish.
On the day of the race,it was terribly hot. After running for about 5 miles,I was thinking,“I must be crazy. Why did I do this? What was I thinking?” And at one moment,I said to myself,“I am never doing this again!”
That first 10 km race was quite an experience. I jogged (慢跑),I walked,I jogged and walked. At times,I didn’t know if I could finish.
Near the end,a 70yearold man ran past me,very fast, and I felt a little embarrassed (尴尬的) that I was more than 50 years younger than he and I couldn’t even keep up with him. But then I realized something. He was running his race and I was running mine. How often in life do we compare(比较) ourselves to others when we really shouldn’t? I decided that I would not give up on running races, and that one day I would be one of those 70yearolds who were still running.
As I crossed the finishing line,I was proud of myself. I didn’t regret (后悔) having such an experience.

An old man was fishing on the bank of a river. A child came to see him fishing. The old man was really good at fishing and it didn't take long for him to catch a full basket of fish. The old man saw that the child was very cute, and he wanted to give her a whole basket of fish. But the child shook her head. The old man was surprised and asked, "Why don't you want the fish? '
The child replied," I want the fishing rod(竿)in your hands. "
The old man asked," Why do you want the rod?"
"It doesn't take long to eat all the fish in a basket. But if I have the fishing rod, I can go fishing by myself and I won't be afraid of not having any more fish to eat.
I think you will certainly say that the child is very smart. Wrong! If she doesn't know how to fish, she cannot have fish to eat, even though she has the fishing rod. It's useless to only have a fishing rod. Fishing skills are the most important, not the fishing rod.
Too many people think that if they have a "fishing rod" in their life, they will no longer fear the wind and rain. They are just like the child, who thought that if she had a fishing rod, she would have fish to eat.
