B) 根据短文内容,回答问题 (No more than six words.)

Two months after returning to England, Gulliver sets sail on a ship, travelling to the Cape of Good Hope(好望角). On the way, a strong storm draws the ship off course and the ship finally arrives at an unknown land. Gulliver sees a giant following the boat. He runs away, and when he stops, he is on a hill. He is greatly surprised to see that the grass around is about twenty feet tall.

He walks down a path through a field but cannot see anything over a crop because it is forty feet tall. He tries to climb a set of steps into the next field, but he cannot climb over them because they are too high. When he sees another giant, Gulliver hides from him, but the giant calls for more people to come, and they begin to cut the crop with scythes(大镰刀). Gulliver lies down and feels sad about his situation, thinking about how unimportant he must be to these giant objects.

A giant finally notices him, and picked him up between his fingers to get a closer look. Finally the giant puts him in his pocket and begins to walk towards his master.

The giant’s master, the farmer of these fields, takes Gulliver from his man and watches Gulliver more closely. He asks the other men if they have ever seen anything like Gulliver, then puts him onto the ground. They sit around him. Gulliver begins to speak as loudly as he can. He gives a purse full of gold to the farmer but the farmer cannot understand what the tiny thing is.

I've always been very interested in the beauty of China’s culture and history. So when one of my friends moved to Beijing from the UK.It was the perfect excuse to visit.

My friend Tony and I had expected a big city filled with buildings and busy streets. But when we arrived,we were surprised.

The first thing that surprised us was the space. Beijing is really huge. Its wide streets and green spaces made every area feel less crowded(拥挤的).Everywhere we looked, there were people cleaning and tidying. It really gave off national pride.

We were worried that few people would speak English in Beijing. But we found that it was common for Chinese people to know a few words of English.and many knew much more.

But the most exciting part of our visit was riding around in the sunshine on bicycles—we felt very Chinese as we travelled around the city on shared bikes.

It was great to experience Beijing in person. This was my first visit to China. but certainly not my last.
