题目内容

Art lovers around the world have thought about this question for so many years: what is the secret behind the Mona Lisa’s smile?
However, they can ask Mona Lisa herself in the interactive exhibition (交互式展览) in Beijing. This exhibition brings the 500-year-old painting to life.
Now Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting can move her head and wave (挥舞) her hand in 3D, and even answer questions. She can answer the questions about her life, her age and so on. But when she talks she doesn’t speak Italian but Chinese like: “Da jia hao, wo jiao Mengna Lisha. Hen gao xing jian dao ni men.”
The new, digital (数码的) picture of Mona Lisa is the center piece of the World Classic Interactive Arts Exhibition in Beijing. You can also see other world-famous paintings such as Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. Last Supper is another picture that they made alive with 3D. In this picture, Jesus (基督耶稣) can walk and talk with his believers (信徒).
It took the organizer Wang Hui and over 400 digital artists in South Korea two years to make the picture, at a cost of around 50 million yuan.
He says, “What’s special about it is that it’s the first time to use computer technology (技术) to make her speak and move.”
So what does the Mona Lisa say if you ask her why she is smiling?

We all dream about things that we would like to do we hope to achieve in the future. But are everybody’s dreams the same? Here are some of the findings of a survey about hopes and dreams, in which thousands of students across China took part in it.
What are the hopes of teenagers?
We received several different answers to the question: what would you like to do after finishing your education? It seems some students would like to start work as soon as possible, so that they can help provide better lives for their parents. Other students hope to continue studying after finishing school and to go to university. Although money is important, many teenagers said they want to do jobs they enjoy. According to the survey, the most popular choice of job is computer programming.
What are the dreams of teenagers?
Teenagers have all kinds of dreams. Some are more realistic than others. For example, many students said they would like to be volunteers if Beijing could hold the World Cup, maybe working as translators or tour guides. And quite a few said they dream of going to the moon one day.
According to the survey, less realistic dreams are also common, but many students reported that they were willing to work hard to achieve their dreams. Quite a few dream of becoming famous, perhaps famous sports people or singers. Some said they’d like to go on exciting trips; one students said she’d love to sail across the Pacific Ocean. And then there are dreams that are impossible; three students said they’d like to be able to fly!
Conclusion It was clear from the survey that teenagers have similar hopes. It seems that most students hope to have a good education and find a good job. On the other hand, students dream of very different things: good things, and even crazy things. It is very important to dream, so hold on your dreams; one day they may just come true.

Most people want their children to be successful in school and a parent’s role in that success must be very important. Parents should help children to build their confidence and achievements. Parents should also play the role of a friend as well as a teacher in children’s education.
Learning about math or reading isn’t the only problem we face in school. Maybe we are having problems with teachers, classmates or other people. At this time we really need a person who is ready to hear what we are thinking. And the person should be you---my dear parents. If we have nobody to talk with, we will have more stress in our school life. Please listen to our worries. It’s good for our study and health.
On the other hand, parents can’t leave all the problems to the teachers. Although it’s their job, even the best and brightest teachers can not take care of every child. We still need personal attention, so the role the parents is to make sure we can get it. Stay in touch with our homework and the tests. Connect with our teachers regularly to talk about how things are going in our classroom. If we need more help, be active in getting it and work with us.
Nothing helps a child succeed more than a parent. A little willingness from a parent can play a very important role in the children’s studies. The more attention parents pay, the more achievements children will make.

It was a cold day, but the students from Prosser Middle School in Chicago were sorting through the waste when they found that their school produces 1,500 pounds every day.
Prosser is just one school that throws out nearly 4,000 meal trays every day. Counting all of Chicago’s public schools, the number comes to nearly a quarter of a million a day. That’s more than 1 million a week and about 5 million a month.
“None of the trays are being recycled,” said a teacher. “ Everyone agrees that it’s very bad.”
Luckily, concerns about the environment and health have made some US cities take action. Dozens of schools have begun programs to reduce the use of food trays in school.
These schools have also banned (禁止)some fast food, including McDonald’s. Instead, they offer students recyclable trays. They encourage students to sort out lunchroom waste, then wash and recycle milk cartons and trays . So far, the program has helped schools to save a total of 820,000 trays each week.
Jay Stream Middle School in Illinois teaches its students how to collect trays. The school has cut its lunchroom waste by two thirds now that students recycle their used trays instead of breaking them.
Prosser Middle School also sees the benefits of the program. Students have organized about 20 clubs and volunteer activities to cut down on cafeteria garbage. They now recycle 80 percent of the school waste. “ I joined the club,” said Erika Santana, a 16-year-old junior in Prosser, “because I want to make Earth a better place.”
