题目内容
阅读与回答问题。答案不超过五个词。
There was a little boy with a bad temper(脾气).He got angry easily and often shouted at those who loved him.
One day, his father gave him a bag of sssnails(蜗牛) and told him, “Every time you lose your temper, drive(施力于…) a snail into the fence.”
The first day the boy drove 37 ssnails into the fence. Then the number got smaller. The boy found that it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those ssnails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all.He told his father about it and the father said, “Now, my son, pull out one snail each day when you are able to hold your temper.”
Days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the ssnails were gone. The father took his son by the hand, led him to the fence and said, “You have done well, my son, but there are holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same as before. When you are in anger, what you do leaves a scar(伤痕) just like this. You can put a knife into a man and draw it out.No matter how many times you say sorry, the wound is still there.A verbal(口头的) wound is as bad as a physical one.”But we often hurt our family and friends through our angry words.Maybe next time when you feel you are going to lose your temper, take a deep breath(呼吸) to avoid hurting the people we love.
