On hot day, an ant went to the river to drink some water. But he fell in and couldn’t get out. A bird saw the ant in danger. “I must help him,” she thought. “Let me pick up a leaf and put it on the water. The ant can get onto it. One day, a man saw the bird in the tree and was going to shoot her. Just then the ant came and bit the man’s foot. The man jumped and his arrow went up into the sky. The arrow missed the bird and she flew away.
