Due to the fast rhythm of modern life, more and more people are living under great stress.
People have to work hard to be admitted to universities, to land a job with a good company. To sum up, pressure arises from the fierce competition for a better position in society.  Although proper pressure may help tap their great potential, too much stress result in anxiety, sleepiness, or even sickness. To relieve stress, some take up cigarette smoking, while others turn to alcohol drinking. Some even go to such an extreme that they take drugs, which does great harm to their physical and mental fitness.
In the face of great pressure, I think, we should adopt an optimistic attitude. Make a good judgment of ourselves and concentrate on what we can achieve because a person who knows what to give up can get what he can. Moreover, listening to music, doing sports, chatting to friends and being close to nature are excellent methods to keep ourselves free from stress.
