One day I pushed my cousin Li Dong in wheelchair on an especial narrow sidewalk. We struggled along with one wheel on the sidewalk or the other on the road. Suddenly, a man riding his motorcycle past us rapidly, missing Li Dong by several inch. Immediately, he turned round, stopped his motorcycle and came over. We were worried she would blame us for have stood in his way. To our surprise, he said nothing at all and helped out push the wheelchair until we reached a slightly wider sidewalk. Then he left after we could say thanks to him. We were leaving ashamed of what we thought.

In the past my hometown was used to be a beautiful place. Thick trees and green grass could be seen in everywhere. In order to build house and grow more crops, people cut down more and more trees. With time went on, the whole forest was almost destroyed. Gradually the green hills have changed into wasteland. As a result, sandstorms struck us now and then, of which we suffer a lot. However, I do hope all the people should realize the terribly result of not caring about our environment. What's more, they should take good care of the forests and plant trees instead cutting them down to improve our living conditions.

I often go to a weekend school. So did many of my classmates. This seems popular among students. Good weekend schools have excellent teachers which help us improve our studies.
Besides, we get to know students from another schools and learn about their campus of life.
So every coin has two sides．Our school work is already a heavy burden．Extra lesson often take up too much of our time. In addition, pay lots of attention to the extra lessons will affect their school subjects．We may also find ourselves very tired on Mondays to concentrate on the lessons in our own school. We should think seriously about this issue and make best use of our time．

It is special pleasure to welcome our new staff member, Mr Tony White, who has come here to America.
Mr White has recently graduated from the University of Chicago where he has majored in English Literature and minored in Teaching English as the Second Language. He will working with us here for at least two years.
One of the goals of our school are to promote understanding and cooperation between the young people of our two countries. By have Mr White, who is willing to sacrifice the comfort of his friends and family to come to a strange country, we feel we are very lucky and our goals will be easily realized.

I have a little brother who is 11 years this year. We get on well with each other and have had a good times together. Several days ago, I bought a book to him. The book is written by those which have won Nobel Prize and it aim to help children learn about the unknown world. Before I bought the book, I have read it. I felt that it is a good book for him, because he is interesting in new things and has so much questions. I hope that through reading book, my brother can learn more about the world and know how to do a good person.

Nowadays many young students are like cigarettes. One reason is because they feel it’s a kind of fashion. By smoke, they can look cool. Some teenagers think smoking is good to social contact, so that they can develop social skill. Some others want reduce stress and become relaxing, so they join smokers. As is known, that it is interesting to teach children to swim while they are still babies. Most large town in Florida and California have already run particularly lessons for babies. The idea has quickly spread to Europe which, in several countries, special courses were now offered to children who are from 7 to 24 months old. The first step is to have child get rid of the fear with water. Next, he is teaching to float in water. Once he can do that naturally and can swim with fear, the child can master the technique and push him forward through water.
