Every year after the college entrance exam，the top-rated exam takers will attract wide attention from all over the country. They accept various interviews，take part in different social activities and receive quite a lot of prize money as well.
　　Some people say“yes”to this phenomenon. They think，for one thing，it can make more people care about education；for another，those top students can and do set good examples to the rest of the students.
　　However，others hold opposite opinions about this. They believe that giving too much attention to those top winners can do more harm than good to them. Meanwhile，high marks don’t necessarily mean strong ability.
　　In my opinion，it’s all right to give proper attention to those top winners. But we shouldn’t pay too much attention to them. After all，exams and marks aren’t everything.

Mankind is wasting things everywhere and everyday . Wherever we go , we can see that food is wasted just because of poor taste ; clothes are thrown away simply due to their old fashion . Trees are cut down merely for fuel ; wild animals are killed simply for meat and fur ; oil and coal are exploited (开采) in a bad way .
The worst example of man’s waste is the waste of time . Many people tend to spend their time on worthless things , such as wandering about in the street , gossiping（闲聊） in the office , sleeping too much during the day .

It was the end of my first day as waitress in a busy New York restaurant. My cap had gone away, and my feet hurt. The loaded plates I carried seemed to be heavier and heavier. Tired and discouraged. Why when one word of praise can bring such benefit?
In fact, to give praise costs the giver nothing but a moment’s thought and a moment’s effort but will reward both the giver and the recipient with a happy day. Let’s learn to give credit (赞扬) to people around us.
