To express thanks to its citizens, the Guangzhou government plans to deliver an Asian Games present to them. As to what present they would like to receive, opinions vary from person to person.
The idea of delivering an Asian Games present is encouraging, not only because of the present itself, but also because it is a symbol of the government’s care for its citizens. By handing out the presents, the government will show its gratitude as well as fill the people with a feeling of being focused on. In this way, they are more pleased to serve the city and lead a happier life, which is bound to contribute to the harmony of our society. Therefore, this act would be mutually beneficial.
As a Senior Three student who is going to university soon, I suggest the government should help pay part of the university tuition fees, for university students are the future of the city. Besides, this will rid poor students of the worries about the heavy burden of the fees, helping them better concentrate on their studies. I am looking forward to this present!
