Work and Rest Jack, a senior three student, used to work hard at all his lessons. Every day he got up earliest and went to bed latest of the family. He never accepted his classmates' invitation to outdoor activities. Sometimes, his parents, worrying about his health, advised him to have a rest and relax himself by watching TV, but he wouldn't follow them. Finally he fell ill and had to stay in hospital for several weeks. From Jack's story, we can see that health is very important. It is the foundation of one's success. If you become sick, it is nearly impossible to go on with your education, let alone make your dreams come true. On the other hand, if you are strong, you can go all out to overcome the difficulty that lies ahead of you. |
