It is reported that the weighting of English in Beijing's College Entrance Examination will be reduced by a third to 100 points, in which the listening test will take up 50%. The test will be conducted twice a year. Students can sit for it for several times and the best result is taken as the final score, which will be valid for 3years.
In my opinion, It is a worthwhile reform since many students can benefit from it. As is a fact, the subject of English has been such heavy pressure that many students even ignore their native language learning, Therefore, this change in testing can not only reduce the students’ burden, but also correct their attitude towards language learning,. With more freedom to arrange their own studies, students will learn English better as well as other subjects.

An increasing number of students fall in love at an early age and create problems with their studies, which has aroused the school’s attention. A middle school has set a "distance for civilized communication" between boy and girl students. It seems that the school has passed the school regulation to prevent girls and boys from falling in love at an early age and creating problems for the school authorities.
